Still a no vote for me ..but sadly I think people will grab the cash and regret it later .
I sincerely hope I'm wrong ,because this will open the gates to carnage of everything we have fought for over the years .
money on we have nothing left to fight for by 2025.
Shame on the cwu your a disgrace to call yourself a union .
If this goes through they're not my union .I'll save the £3odd subs for myself .
+1 it's that bollox flexing up in winter that will finish me off, and no the earlier finish in summer won't make it worthwhile, I know we'll work 24 minutes less per day but that's no consolation if having to flex 30 if required which will be most days unless the mail literally all but disappears.
Is this is true another grand in your hand, then questions have got to asked on how there is more money on the table than before.
Why was this not discussed during talks instead of leaving it last minute. Still voting No!
Do people even read the thread before posting? The money isn’t coming from Royal Mail.
Never mentioned about royal mail giving us extra, so probably read my post before criticising. I know it's coming from our union, but as I've already mentioned that questions have got to be asked as to why this money has suddenly appeared after the agreement was announced. If this is a tactic of dangling the carrot in front of faces so as we accept the deal, then all confidence of the union is out the door.
If people actually read the agreement it's not all about the money.

Royal Mail offered £1500 during negotiations, so clearly that number was already put out there. And it isn’t coming from the union either. If it pushes this agreement over the line, it is a master stroke from all involved and I welcome it.
It’s coming from a pension fund that 4 people in our office are entitled to when they retire
I would sue
No it's not.
It's coming from an overfunding surplus in a closed defined benefit pension.
Closed defined benefit pensions are defined, you cannot add to their value.
The money doesn't belong to the pension, it belongs to Royal Mail.
They could legally spend it on a piss up at HQ if they wanted.
