What a pair of conmen these two are. Terry Pullinger had his faults but it’s no coincidence since he has stepped back from union involvement things have nosedived.

Yes we can and we might if this behaviour from management continues but the fact the company are ignoring the IR framework in the deal right now is not DW/AF faultBeanyjazz wrote: ↑17 May 2023, 15:39Well, for a starters we could strike like we voted too.Mickeybrowneyes wrote: ↑17 May 2023, 15:34What are they supposed to do if the company just go on ignoring the agreement and undermining the involvement of local reps.
This isn't the deal they agreed.
Are we supposed to now attack Dave and Andy rather than the people acting without honesty.
I really do not see how this is the union's fault.
If this is in fact a few senior managers choosing to undermine the process/union, maybe holding back the agreement will in turn make some of those that agreed the deal within the company to put pressure on these guv'nors to start playing ball.
Joint working is mentioned numerous times within the agreement.
Union done their part in securing that.
That is all they can do.

This behaviour from management has been going on for years and the union has turned a blind eye towards it.Mickeybrowneyes wrote: ↑17 May 2023, 16:37Yes we can and we might if this behaviour from management continues but the fact the company are ignoring the IR framework in the deal right now is not DW/AF faultBeanyjazz wrote: ↑17 May 2023, 15:39Well, for a starters we could strike like we voted too.Mickeybrowneyes wrote: ↑17 May 2023, 15:34What are they supposed to do if the company just go on ignoring the agreement and undermining the involvement of local reps.

I am beginning to think that our office has been used as a test site.
Everything that is happening now nationality in delivery office's, has been going on at ours for years .
We have been unable to clear since 2010.
Our delivery points have been over a 1.000.
A frame since then and growing. A couple of duties haven't changed that much sitting at about 850 call points. But even we are lapsing
3 undeliverable duties. It's insane, but we are well used to it now.
And yet according to our Gaffer we are in the top ten nationally.
Packets that must be because 50% of the mail stay in or gets brought back .

You haven’t got an agreement Dave
We haven’t accepted your negotiators deal
Your up in Scotland and will have been told our area reps are advising us to reject and vote no
And if the vote does not go out at the specific time and date
Your negotiators deal would be invalid
You cannot pick and choose for the members
We tell you what to do
So get my vote out so I can tell RM to f**k off

To be honest where I am we are clearing at the minute and the walks are achievable.
I understand this isn't everyone's experience and can see why you may have lost faith.
The wording in the agreement should protect against unachievable workloads and honour the USO.
I just hope there is some serious change of behaviour from management, and quickly.
We need an agreement, but both parties need to be on board.
Right now doesn't seem like the company have changed their mantra of 'our business to run'.
Next couple of weeks will be pivotal.

Re: CWU : Video : We need to see a huge shift in attitude from Royal Mail - and we need it now : We will review every single revision
The issue regarding these forced revisions should have been resolved BEFORE the union made any sort of deal with Royal Mail. Maybe they could have also waited until the independent review of those who were unfairly sacked to have concluded as well? Not doing so on both counts basically means that RM are just going to push through with the changes that they want with scant regard for anything else.
The company made revisions are failing the USO and have now decided to bring in agency workers to complete the deliveries. The obvious thing to do is to reverse the revisions and remove lapsing so that we would fulfil the USO and wouldn't need the agency workers.

On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

I find myself echoing this question, was this not exactly what they said during the Joint Statement on they cannot agree these revisions and would step in if it keeps continuing? Sure they even stated they cannot reach an agreement if EA were to continue and further pressure was placed on the business. Low and behold, they did reach an agreement and this s**t is still continuing even now. They are getting the piss taken out of them whilst they were spending weeks parading around this deal and Simon Thompson skipping off into the sunset robbing the company in plain sight.

The area union have been well aware of the situation in our office for years.
The usual quote from them was " let it fail"
I suppose that meant that the management would change their stance. That has never happened. All walks were tested and all failed by 2 hrs +.
No fault found with any Posties.
Yet the union let this go on... And here we are.
The union have those facts . Never acted upon them.

Re: CWU : Video : We need to see a huge shift in attitude from Royal Mail - and we need it now : We will review every single revision
So the CWU have asked the board to make sure every office has a fair and balanced workload, which is fair enough.
But there are many problems asking them to be clear and honest that these revisions are going to be put in place properly and not forgotten about once the ballot comes back as a yes (optimistic).
What can the union do if they don't agree to the agenda for growth, do we call another strike? Probably not because that would waste everyone's time, and RM will just carry as normal and pretend that they don't have enough cash and can't recruit staff because they don't have any money. The worst turn out for RM right now is a fine from Ofcom and continue as normal.
