Is it worth it?

What's the process? who do I complain to? is it just asking for trouble as that manager will end up trying to do you for every mistake you make?

Is it best to get the union rep involved when trying to deal with a lying, harassing manager. The blatant lies I have been told are my biggest concern.

It depends how much its getting you stressed or down but in my experience I've used my area rep twice and it did put a flag on the managers back and they knew not to bother me as much,it can then become harrasment.

You can raise a grievance through hr.

If they deem any claim of bullying vexatious, the person submitting the grievance can face a conduct charge for bullying against the manager.

Any issue resolved informally through the stage one process, then recorded and resolved through the stage two process
if no resolution.

Won't be long before your union rep will represent your manager better, than they do, you.

I tried it ended up with a csi crime scene against me with one letter that was apparently left below my frame when I left the building one morning. Absolute joke and carve up, nothing happened to me apart from off work for 6 month but can’t believe the managers that tried it got told they weren’t bullying and harassing me. So unless you have major witnesses and evidence I wouldn’t bother mate.

Considering the behaviour of the managers that I included in my appeal to HR after they had me dismissed I wouldn’t hold your breath. I got reinstated but the management were effectively excused of all their actions including intentionally delaying the mail. They’re like Teflon.

It would be good if they actually put in practice what they supposedly learn on the training courses. Then again, what are they actually advised to do in their roles as Royal Mail managers when it comes to grievance/bullying and harassment cases (apart from always take the side of another manager NOT the "complainer".
