Exactly well said ,its a NO from me too,its time to make a stand ,do or die.enskied wrote: ↑12 May 2023, 17:16The real change has to come from the Union Executive.
Over the years how many deals have the signed up to only for them to be immediately ignored by RM.
If you don't defended the rights you have won, you lose them, little by little until they are gone. That's where I feel we are now, because reps, area reps divisional reps all said " oh well, let it happen, they'll be sorry."
And here we are.
As I see it voting yes for this deal, we are agreeing to have a castrated union negotiating for the little rights ( none) that we have left.
I can't vote yes to that.

Re: Simon Thompson gone
The Slymans demise is no real surprise, is it any good for us? Doubtful! We are going to have to move onto the next half-wit who knows everything about the job and what it entails.
The future as far as RM is concerned involves flogging us all into a early grave/Ihr and getting a younger workforce to repeat the same process.
Better to just make a serious offer to us golden oldies and the majority of us will gladly piss off. Somebody should have a study at what we do and how we are expected to achieve what RM expect of us, i bet RM would run for cover.
We are not amazon/evri, we posties deliver mail as well and thats the killer for them and us. I would love to drive around all day tossing parcels randomly in the direction of the address its meant to go to, I do know they dont really do this it just looks like they do sometimes, i could work on if that was it..... but it isnt and at the moment its starting to become overwhelming.
Every week its like heres some more things you need to do, and wheres the extra time coming from to do this, the magic RM clock which apparently can stop time to allow all the extra stuff.
Feck him he wont be missed.

Can anybody understand why he's staying as CEO, or at least being paid for doing the job, until October, why doesn't he just leave with immediate effect and receive his 6 months PILON?

Caused the company to be losing £1million a day and thinks he's done a good job?
On top of that, because the company is losing £1million a day it is now in a complete mess, providing the worst level of service in its history. Mail and parcels delayed for days every single week due to a lack of staff and ridiculous revisions.

I don't think Shitmon Turdson should be replaced, I think his work should be consolidated between Williams and McCauley see how they cope with duties that are impossible to achieve.

According to the Daily Telegraph’s Business Opinion yesterday, it is.toonshola wrote: ↑12 May 2023, 11:57No surprise. Let’s hope they don’t look to promote from within. My money is on Grant McPherson, apparently he’s the shithouse who is promoting this “our business to run” bullying mantra.
Whoever it is though there is no doubt they will continue to ruthlessly carry out the boards race to an EVRI style delivery company at pace.
It’s pretty standard for CEOs to be brought in and out of businesses , a bit like Watch the CWU pat themselves on the back over this though as if it’s all their doing.

It would be madness to vote no, because there won't be an improved offer.
Accept the offer on the table and the £500 in our back pocket, and close ranks with the CWU
to fight another day.
The stark reality is that there is 700,000 immigrants lining up to take our jobs, if we vote no and crash the company again.
Common sense must prevail.

Wait, I thought the immigrants were all coming over here to never work a day and take all our benefits? Wish you lot would make your mind upjahbalon wrote: ↑12 May 2023, 19:59It would be madness to vote no, because there won't be an improved offer.

So your office ''full of immigrants''are all going to be replaced by ermmm immigrants?
Why does it matter who replaces us when the job becomes one not worth having? You are using those honest and hard working immigrants as a weapon as if it should scare people.
They seem to be good workers in your office ( i'll humour you that you arent making stuff up ) so why say '700,000 immigrants'?

It's not reality, 700,000 ?! Where's this figure come from ? Who are they ? When did we crash the company before if we're going to do it again ?

Re: Simon Thompson gone
So he's not really gone, he's going in 5 months, this has just been put out now in the hope of influencing the workforce to get behind the BS agenda and support the agreement with a yes vote.
Whether he's gone or not makes little difference anyway, a crap deal is a crap deal, but this is another blatant tactic that hopefully everyone will see through and be even more angered by it's adoption, instead of falling for the mantra that some sort of corner has been turned and it's plain sailing all the way to utopia without big, bad Simon (who couldn't even do his interview without his words being put in his mouth via a whiteboard for him, remember... He's just the puppet).

The 700,000 immigrants are the ones that have come to the UK this year, that is the offical figure.Acca Dacca wrote: ↑12 May 2023, 20:20So your office ''full of immigrants''are all going to be replaced by ermmm immigrants?

It's not scaremongering, it is a fact. Many have come from Ireland looking for a decent job.
