No surprise. Let’s hope they don’t look to promote from within. My money is on Grant McPherson, apparently he’s the shithouse who is promoting this “our business to run” bullying mantra.
Whoever it is though there is no doubt they will continue to ruthlessly carry out the boards race to an EVRI style delivery company at pace.
It’s pretty standard for CEOs to be brought in and out of businesses , a bit like premier league football managers. Watch the CWU pat themselves on the back over this though as if it’s all their doing.
Specially brought in for all his extensive experience for RM by being in the car industry, obviously has transferable skills too :no no . Nope, he was brought in cos of union busting attitude and it’s well reported that he is indeed the the No1 shithouse on the board. Delusional Dave and Accepting Andy are due in talks with him next week to “discuss” the continuing push by RM to impose change before the agreement potentiality gets ratified (I have my doubts it will)! The only positive step would be for the whole collection of shysters to be removed from RM this means McAuley, McPherson, Brown, Jevons and Williams. No ifs,no buts gone!! :arrrghhh :arrrghhh

So he has been paid £45,000 a month to ruin our T&C and he will receive a further £289,000 to sit on his arse (why would he get another job) and then, get this, £50,000 to help him look for another job.

It's another world isn't it? I must have chosen the wrong coloured pill.

I like it! :Applause

As the song goes, "The Rich get Richer ... the Poor get Poorer" It's always the same with these parasites :no no

I'm a cynical Old Bastard so nothing surprises me anymore, it was the same with Rico and Moya before him, and it'll be the same with the next asshole. I'm sure the CWU will try and spin this as some sort of victory, and a reason to vote YES. :cuppa

The real change has to come from the Union Executive.

Over the years how many deals have the signed up to only for them to be immediately ignored by RM.

If you don't defended the rights you have won, you lose them, little by little until they are gone. That's where I feel we are now, because reps, area reps divisional reps all said " oh well, let it happen, they'll be sorry."
And here we are.

As I see it voting yes for this deal, we are agreeing to have a castrated union negotiating for the little rights ( none) that we have left.

I can't vote yes to that.

If his job was to demoralise the workforce and leave them an empty shell of a employee they once where, with zero loyalty to the company they work for (particularly in delivery) then he's succeeded.

He'll probably walk into another FTSE 100 company as head chief and be just as incompetent as he has been with all his previous roles. An A-grade Moron, pure and simple. Good riddance, now who's gong to pick up the pieces?

The bloke is one of the slimiest ive ever worked under in my years at RM ,he has trashed the company, abused the workers and most importantly committed a criminal offence and got away with it.My office is the worst ive ever seen it ,its worse than the early days of covid, strike days or xmas ,ive never ever seen peoples property of mail and parcels being treated as appallingly as i have in these last few weeks by this car crash revision, deliveries have been absolutely ripped apart abetted by our union for agreeing to this p--s poor agreement, posties only hope now of not dying on the job is a massive NO vote and i hope when it comes back our so called union sit back and take a long hard look at themselves .
