Asking for a couple of fairly new newbies: what was the date when compulsory Sunday working came in? So from what start date are people actually contracted to work Sundays? Thanks.

But if no agreement new contracts were being given from October 2022.

i am sick to the back teeth of folk blaming the cwu for this and that,
i despise them for certain reasons but when folk accept a job and it's crap T&C then they must accept it,
same as part timers crying because they cannot live on part time wages....why take the job in the 1st place then!

Part timers like me took the job because at the interview, full time hours were ‘promised ‘ with overtime. It’s ridiculous that F/T contracts aren’t easily available to those who can work the hours.

Those contracts exist, only because the union caved in to RM more than once before.
People desperate enough for a job, any job, will take them, even with crap T&Cs.
If you don't blame the union for allowing these contracts to come into existence, then who do you blame, the bloody tooth fairy?

so your mortgage advisor advised to take on a promise from a liar? btw it took me 10yrs or so to make it to full time so don't cry a river to me, been there and got several t-shirts, plan to live on the basic pay and T&C you sign up for, then fight like hell when they try to reduce them

Hasn't the union agreed to part-time working in Royal Mail?
Hasn't the union agreed to Sunday working, compulsory for all new starters, which leads me on to the next question.
Hasn't the union, by allowing Royal Mail just that little sample of a long catalogue of crimes against postal workers jobs and terms and conditions, connived with Royal Mail in solidifying a two-tier workforce, one that was already in the making, thanks to this lousy union's last poor deal?

If not, give me the number of that bloody tooth fairy, and I'll be on the blower straight away to them.

So if you look at this from another angle since we’re all so concerned. There’s nothing stopping someone not contracted to doing Sundays chipping in and doing the odd Sunday so as not to shovel all the s*#* on people with rubbish contracts
