And there is always a vocal minority on here who are CWU happy clappers who accept everything they are given and happily smug condescending at the same time
A CWU happy clapper?

I have always been a critic of Ward and Pullinger.
Unlike many I don't change my vote along with my overcoat.

But that doesn't mean I can't see that in this instance the decision by the PEC to endorse the negotiators' agreement is the right one.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Probably…

When RM comes back for more…
Of course they will come back for more, the start times alone was a red herring...saying they wanted 3 hours but got 60-90 mins. They said 3 hours knowing full well that was bollox. They just aimed high and the union knocked them down to 60-90 mins which is exactly what they really wanted anyway. Next time they will come for 2 hours later and the union will knock them down to 1 hour, so they will have got 2 hours- 2hrs 30 mins altogether. And then probably the paid breaks. Expecting to get knocked down to the last 20mins of them, and the first 3 absences at 4 days. Even worse they probably wont need to negotiate, they'll probably just force them through anyway knowing the union have got no chance of getting a vote for strike action ever again. Its curtains for us, or am I just being cynical?

Nice insertion of lyrics, here's another one "Let fury have the hour" you know the rest.

This is Joe Postman speaking.

I too am not a big fan of Ward. But i think Pullinger would have got us a more favourable outcome. Yes he's only 1 man but 1 man can make all the difference. Regardless of whether you think this deal is the right decision or not.....and i certainly don't, the union have been played here. Well and truly...as one poster on here has already pointed out, RM threw EVERYTHING at the wall here, and whatever stuck, is what they were going for. The union were telling us if you voted no to strike action on this ballot you were endorsing later starts. Now they've signed up for that, and worse, they are asking us to vote yes to accept them. 18 days strike to accept what they had us out for in the first place....their slogans....win the ballot win the dispute....who on here feels like this is win?....this is a loss imo and many others throughout the membership. And now they are trying to save face by "convincing" people this is the right deal and they havent lost.

No action on the executive action that created unworkable duties of forcing 3 duties into 2. That has made the uso also unworkable and Joe Public notice how s**t we have become. One thing always baffles me, why does everything have to be later ? Couldn't you just make people start earlier, as we should be having people working 24/7 somehow. If that's 15 gains then I'd hate to see a bad deal 😠

No point in having people start earlier if the work isn't there

Later starts were always inevitable it seems. If they move the network times everything else moves with it.

The 15 gains are not gains but mitigation and while I agree no deal is better than no deal or imposed deal it falls far short of aspirations of the membership and the ballot we gave them to conclude a better deal!
