Peggie's Arse Revision In The South

Post by seawolf »

Here at an office in the south, we have just started a Peggie’s arse revision. It was agreed that 5 walks will be put together and then two of the walks would be tested by a person mutually chosen by the CWU and Royal Mail. Also a RM manager and a CWU member would walk along with this person to make sure it was carried out correctly. If they came over the 3.30 delivery span then they would be adjusted accordingly.

This was carried out and two duties out of the 5 were tested, both coming well over the 3.30 delivery span, the first by an hour the second by 1 hour 40 mins, (40 Mins of this was collecting bags).

Because Royal Mail didn’t like the test results, they are testing the second one again this with the area CWU rep, the cluster DOM and a RM Peggie’s Arse expert, with out agreement.

I wonder if the second test will be quicker, to f**cking right it will for the following reasons

a) It will be the second time the DO will be doing the walk, so they will know it better.

b) With the pressure of the Cluster DOM and the RM Peggie’s Arse expert they will naturally be faster.

c) Wonders will never cease, after one of the heaviest Wednesdays for a long time, comes one of the lightest Thursdays.

Everything about the second test stinks of corruption, how many times do you test a walk till you get the results you want, 2, 3, 4, or 10 times? And if you still don’t get the required results, do you employ Linford Christy?

I don’t know the out come of the second test yet, but I will let you all know how it pans out as soon as I can.

By the way the CWU member has withdrawn from any further input due to his disgust at the way this is underhandedly being done, to get the required results.

My apologies the second walk came out at 4.50 not 4.40.

The results of the 2nd test, for that walk were, 4.30, knocking 20 mins of the 1st test.

At this rate I can’t wait for test 3, 4 or 5. They can make it a 3.30 walk if they test it enough.

Typical RM 'Take it away and do it until it's right' :no no

I can't wait until it starts in my DO because it must be soon (they have been inputing all the AP's that aren't on the system for the past 2 months) and we all know that they will use it to cut duties in the office

Our revamped geo route walks have been up on the wall for weeks, they aren't right and nobody seems interested and they still keep fiddling with it. I think they should have been in on 28 Jan but I'm not too sure. This phase 2 £400 seems as far away as a decent pay rise.

Pay rise you will only get that when PHASE 3 is implemented in your office!. ps it is 1.5% or about £5.13 pence!.

For in my view i do not think royalmail will allow any pay rise's till the bag of sh*t of an "AGREEMENT" is fully implemented!.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think that the Pegasus revision is anything to do with the pay rise. In RM’s own words “it’s a tool to make a fair and balanced work loadâ€

And in line with their policy of 'divide and conquer', I bet RM will try to come up with a crap pay deal that offers a below-inflation increase, and an even lower percentage for offices 'that have not yet signed up for and implemented flexible working' :evil/mad

Of course, Hayes and Ward would never recommend that to the membership, would they ?
