Why did the person in question need to be off for over 12 months? (In order to reach the point of no pay)Leannej3 wrote: ↑02 May 2023, 19:54Hi everyone!
Our lovely friend and fellow postie is currently off sick with breast cancer which was diagnosed last year however she has reached the point of no pay now and is on no pay apart from the help of ESA
She starts radiotherapy next week after having her mastectomy but is looking at coming back to work during it. We don’t want that. Is there any chance you could help? Even spare a few pound just so she doesn’t have to worry about coming back whilst fighting cancer.
Thank you for your support

Cancer - the clue is in the title of the thread, anything else is Medically confidential.2chorizon wrote: ↑04 May 2023, 08:41Why did the person in question need to be off for over 12 months? (In order to reach the point of no pay)Leannej3 wrote: ↑02 May 2023, 19:54Hi everyone!

She hasn’t been off for twelve months. They’ve included a sickness she had last year, but because she has breast cancer? And has had a mastectomy and chemotherapy and now has to undergo radiotherapy. Do you really expect her to come into work during all this or?2chorizon wrote: ↑04 May 2023, 08:41Why did the person in question need to be off for over 12 months? Don't quote me on this but I think the policy on no pay is after 12 months in the previous four years so, for example, three months per year over four years would put you on no pay.

Yes so she has been off for a year altogether but that’s not the point we arguing we are arguing about her literally being between and life and death and they’re being twats and not paying but yes she’s been off for 6 months fighting cancer any other reason before that isn’t relevant to anyone tbh so I didn’t find your comment very appropriate

Re: Colleague off with cancer-no pay- can you help?
Just to be clear....the "why did the person.........." question was NOT my quote. It was a quote from someone else. My quote explained the 12 months in four years bit and I didn't comment on the specifics.

That’s why we are asking for al the help we can get for her because she’s going to be coming back to work with no immune system, no energy, still recovering from mastectomy and as her friends we don’t want her to do this hence why we are trying to help her, she doesn’t really need people asking why’s she been off previously and questioning it tbh. We are just trying to ask for help. If you didn’t want to help and just wanted to know why she’d been off for a year to receive no pay, I’d appreciate if you didnt actually comment
