and lets be honest ,how many of us finish early or just plain dawdle on our round...every one at my office without exception .....but i guess the moaners here are all late back

My finish point is about a quarter of a mile from my house so basically when I do finish If I don't have anything to take back which usually I don't I can just go home. .

Only about twice a year do I have nothing to take back to the Delivery Office, so are you in the habit of signing yourself for Recordeds and/or leaving parcels on doorsteps, or is some some other explanation for you "usually" having nothing to take back ?

I've never signed for anything myself and never would and the same with packets leaving them on doorsteps. Your walk must be a pretty s**t walk mate if it only happens twice a year.

Even if I did have to take something back most days I'd still use my car so I wouldn't have to catch a bus. The driver doesn't pick u back up does he so he isn't going too lose his job in that sense. Plus I don't have to wait for anyone else in the morning who's on the van that won't be ready for another 15 minutes or whatever. At the end fot he day i still give him my bags, I know it sounds selfish but I can't be assed dropping them off my self but that's his job. On my walk you need the boxes, you can't do it with a car all the way round or you'd finish half an hour later.

If I could I still wouldn't use my car for the whole round at end of the day it's my petrol adn wear and tear on my car. Like I just said the main reasons are becasue I can't be bothered waiting for everyone else or I can't be bothered waitintg for a bus.

I think it's down to the individual but what I do isn't going to lose any jobs in my eyes. Tell me if I'm wrong

As a moderator you must know that it simply isn't possible to find an even keel and what tends to happen (from observation) is that the stalwart RMC members say what they like and rules vanish like Allan Leighton at the mention of a pay increase, then miraculously reinforced when anyone disagrees with the regulars.

There are 50 in my office, all union members but none of them are even talking about strike action over pensions - no tell a lie - theres one. You can't ever have a realistic take on what people think if basically only one viewpont is the norm. Thats no criticism on your mod role, you do a good job in a lot of areas but if you look through most threads its the same core ten members saying the same thing over and over. Think any different and you're a scab, so they leave. In the end 3,000 members means nothing if they don't come back and like the last strike, any polls on here weren't worth the paper they were written on.

Yes this is 100% true and now with the royalmail with it's unrelenting drive to cut cost's at all cost's!. Let us now also consider the implication's of useing one's car for the royalmail for here is a new one to you all!. By the 6 of april 2008 the corporate manslaughter bill comes into force and with this come's responsibility of management of your driveing your car for use of the buisness!. For this can and will include DRA (Driver risk Assessment's) and licence /vehicle/insurance/tax/mot/and seviceing/and duty on a daliy basis/ check's!. for the DRA is an online test which take's upto 2 hour's to complete at the end of which you will receive a risk assessment of high / medium/ low!. Which will determain the training you will be required to be given!.

This site is primary a PRO UNION / ANTI AL & ADAM SITE... Not ANTI RM but against people with there ideas stuck in the dark ages and H&b rife but wont stand up to it...
