What happens in offices that work 6 day weeks for 5 weeks and have the 6th week off as leave as none of these break up into Summer Winter and Spring thirds divide between 6 I do appreciate there aren't many that work this shift pattern but there are still some.Martin Walsh wrote: ↑27 Apr 2023, 14:46No this is not the case.
Royal Mail last year proposed to introduce annualised hours which would be linked to Siso and you would be required to complete you duty. This was called flexi bank.
None of that is in the agreement. Instead you have seasonal variations which commence from September 2023 and finishes September 2024.
This means :
15 weeks working at 39 hours , 24 mins per day for full timers before your duty.
22 weeks working at 37 hours
Then next summer 15 weeks working at 35 hours per week. This will be on the basis of 10 minutes later start and 14 minutes earlier finish.
This means all hours are balanced across the September to September period.
For part timers they will increase their daily attendance by 10 minutes per day in the 15 weeks of peak and reduce by 10 minutes per day in summer.
There will be a pilot of 10 units this summer to ensure it reduces absorption in the summer and any further lessons to be learnt.

Probably more like it it's a small percentage of offices so they will be sacrificed for the "Greater Good" and I have zero faith it will work in any Employees favour and end up with people owed hours they will never ever be able to take as leave because there isn't an office in the country that is fully staffedtheotherone wrote: ↑28 Apr 2023, 13:28I want to know the answer to this.I imagine the answer is....it will even out at some point....who knows.....denhamhoop wrote: ↑28 Apr 2023, 13:10What happens in offices that work 6 day weeks for 5 weeks and have the 6th week off as leave as none of these break up into Summer Winter and Spring thirds divide between 6 I do appreciate there aren't many that work this shift pattern but there are still some.Martin Walsh wrote: ↑27 Apr 2023, 14:46No this is not the case.

In MCs the difference would all have to be at the start of the shift as shifts end when dispatches go out, unless they made the dispatches later, which then risks the lorries getting stuck in traffic and arriving at the DOs later

They could not calculate between Uranus and the Moon!Acca Dacca wrote: ↑28 Apr 2023, 09:32That’s not how it works to be fair
You would use less of your entitlement when taking leave in the summer as it’s calculated in hours not days or weeks
