We have posters up at my D.O. stating that it has been agreed (Who on earth by?) that trials will start for the 'hand held' equipment - to be used for reading meters. Although off on A/L & I haven't seen the actual posters - my members assure me that they exiist. I have had a ring around & none of the rest of my branch have them!! We are a Phase 3 'Trialling Unit'. Any other rep seen them - or have heard of them. I shall contact my Area Rep as soon as I can get hold of him & try & clarify this!
I've had a good look through the columns but can find no mention of this issue. If it already being discussed - accept my apologies & move to appropriate slot.

I had a look at the poster - looks genuine enough & looks like it comes off the RM Website. My Area Rep tells me that nothing has been agreed by CWU HQ & it is probably just a crazy 'think-tank' idea - that we have to listen to - have agreed nationally to innovative working methods!!!!!! What with bread in one hand - milk in the other & a broomstick up our 'arris - just how many other Union jobs will we be expected to put at risk - by the time someone with a brain - realises that the RM is controlled by morons?
