No: 103/23

26th April 2023

TO: ALL POSTAL BRANCHES

Dear Colleague

NATIONAL AGREEMENT – MEMBERS’ BALLOT TIMETABLE AND ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM

The Postal Executive have today endorsed the following timetable for the consultative ballot on the Business Recovery, Transformation and Growth Agreement:

Ballot Papers dispatched to all members’ home addresses – Wednesday 17th May.

Ballot Closes and Announcement of Result – Wednesday 7th June.

To ensure members and representatives have access to as much information as possible prior to the ballot opening, we have also agreed a comprehensive communications and engagement plan which will include:

· Local Representatives Briefings – both online and in person
· Members meetings across the UK
· Live online Q&A sessions
· Video content
· A Home Mailing
· Social Media activities

We will be sharing further details of the briefings and other prominent dates later this week.

We are confident that the activities above will give members the information they need to make their choice on the ballot and more importantly give them access to putting their views across to the union’s leadership.

We look forward to engaging with you in the coming days and weeks. Let’s do so in exactly the same spirit as we have shown in the last year – that solidarity and togetherness is what has moved the employer.

Yours sincerely

Royal mail have broken the deal already in terms of honouring the uso. Paused revisions are now going ahead as planned with an even greater failure of the uso. How can we trust anything within this deal when royal mail have rubbished it already. 🤔

If we vote 97% no, what would the cwu do with this mandate?

Resign hopefully and hand the reigns over to someone else.

Coincidence much, the ballot papers arrive the same day Royal Mail announce their end of year finances to the stock market.

Hint, it's going to be bad, £400m losses.

The union looking to try and profit off of the fear mongering.

The level of manipulation at work is amazing.

7th of friggin June!!!! Jeez how long do they think it takes to make up our minds. The CWU is an absolute waste of space. They're just trying to eek out more subs for another month.

Announce a live video on Facebook, tell us to ‘tell our friends and family’ because it’s the most important announcement ever. Dave Ward will waffle on for an hour and we’ll all be told to type solidarity in the comments.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

So will this 6% in April 2023 be backdated if this vote goes through?

If not, how much are they saving by dragging the arse out of this?

Absolute pisstake.
