Please correct me if I’m wrong but a senior rep told me (before the deal was released) that Royal Mail were planning to cut the paid release for all senior reps from £20 million to £6 million per year , we now seem to be at a stage where a very poor deal has been agreed to but the release for senior reps has remained unchanged, it very much appears the deal was approved to prevent this happening, please tell me I’m wrong as this would make the union’s position untenable and they would no longer deserve to represent this workforce

What is paid release? Amount of money reps still get paid by RM when they are not working like the rest of us and doing CWU activities/duties ?

If you are happy with the service keep paying your subscription.
Their empty slogans since this dispute began have mislead 100,000 members. Now they seem to be in hiding and all is quiet because they have failed to protect your interests.
Vote no, but you should also demand a ballot to remove ward and co from leading you into another lost battle.

Re: Martin Walsh
I apologise for my intrusion but what’s your role in RM? How many ballots have you voted on in the past?FilthyBloke wrote: ↑25 Apr 2023, 14:20If you are happy with the service keep paying your subscription.

Everyone since about 20 years ago. I left the union not long after joining but still got the ballot papers in the post for some reason. I didn’t get one 11 months ago but did get one when they said “win the ballot win the dispute” for some reason.

Considering the timeframes you state, what made you leave the union?

No there are lots of unhappy posties right now. I don’t let work stress me out. For me personally I’m happy to work anytime between 5am and 6pm.mightyowler wrote: ↑25 Apr 2023, 15:13The Happy postie isn’t the consensus?FilthyBloke wrote: ↑25 Apr 2023, 15:06Happy postie….mightyowler wrote: ↑25 Apr 2023, 15:02Ok, but what is your role?FilthyBloke wrote: ↑25 Apr 2023, 14:54Everyone since about 20 years ago. I’m not happy with the sick leave changes and I think the Pay rise could be better but it’s still an ideal job for me.
