In my opinion a walking round should be no more than 3 hours and fill up the remainder of the time doing packets and more job sharing of rounds for part timers and more days to recover ,irs got to be a 4 day working week ,now id vote yes for that.

This is the problem there is no maximum of how long a delivery should be and I believe there should be as none of us are getting any younger
When I last done a walk 12 years ago it used to take me between 3-3.35 average which I could manage but I would definitely struggle now as due to savings of hours that walk got bigger
Has your office looked at a 4 day week duty structure?
Would the members be up for it as it means working a longer day 9.5 hours which could/will be even bigger walks
This is the problem we have how do you fill your working day if your indoor work is reduced due to automation
It’s a different world in a Mail Centre the job is totally different to delivery’s much more relaxing god you guys really are/have being done over and have my sympathy but I don’t see it getting any better for you all as savings will always come first

I’m averaging 12-13 miles a day
I average between 35000-40000 steps a day
Not sure what that is in miles but obviously not as tough as prepping and delivering a walk out in all sorts of weather plus all the other s**t that goes with delivery
