Reps and agreement
I hope all the local reps are going to actually grow a set of balls and tell their colleagues what is actually going to be happening with this s**t agreement
How any of them can face their members and try to endorse the agreement I don’t know
They should be refusing to follow instructions from negotiators and PEC re RM/ CWU sham of a deal
I know our guys are already going to be setting the proper agenda for a NO vote

Re: Reps and agreement
I think a lot of people are concerned what will happen if we vote no and the consequences thats what the union should be telling us the feeling is that posties on delivery have suffered the most in this surrender of a deal pda actuals been allowed .reducing indoor work meaning longer walks ihr reduced well we know who that effects surely the union could of fought harder to keep that at the same level later starts and seasonal work times all have the most effect on delivery and what have we got in return a crap pay deal maybe deliveries should look to get there own union

Re: Reps and agreement
We know the consequences of a no vote none of us are stupid but I’d rather see no Royal Mail than roll over for this because none of us will be here for negotiations in 2025mags999 wrote: ↑23 Apr 2023, 10:12I think a lot of people are concerned what will happen if we vote no and the consequences thats what the union should be telling us the feeling is that posties on delivery have suffered the most in this surrender of a deal pda actuals been allowed .reducing indoor work meaning longer walks ihr reduced well we know who that effects surely the union could of fought harder to keep that at the same level later starts and seasonal work times all have the most effect on delivery and what have we got in return a crap pay deal maybe deliveries should look to get there own union![]()

Re: Reps and agreement
Vote no and gamble with yours and everybody's future. Can you gurantee RM will not enter administration? No you can't, nobody can. The language from RM and CWU is sombre and subdued. They acknowledge the deal is not what people want but if you think that by destroying RM and the CWU is a good plan then nothing I or anybody says will convince you otherwise. The reps are people doing their best . They are friends and colleagues. A civil war is the worst outcome. Anybody who thinks the government will step in is barking mad. They don't care about people dying due to NHS industrial action so they certainly won't bother about undelivered letters and parcels. Lose this battle but regroup and win the war. In the words of the song The Gambler " you got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em". Nobody on this site has offered a credible alternative. It's a simple choice - vote no then wait to see what RM do which we will have no control over - or vote yes , regroup, change the union tactics/leaders and plan a better campaign when the next challenge arises. I am not a gambler!!hans solo wrote: ↑23 Apr 2023, 09:03I hope all the local reps are going to actually grow a set of balls and tell their colleagues what is actually going to be happening with this s**t agreement

Re: Reps and agreement
Agreed.
But I think the yes Vote will win, as there are far too many helmets working for RM and especially PF.
I know our rep will be throwing glitter and s**t and the minions will lap it up.

Then the rest of us just have to swallow it whole. Desperate that £500 is all it took 🏳scabbyhorse wrote: ↑23 Apr 2023, 10:46Agreed.

Re: Reps and agreement
What is an acceptable deal to you and what tactics do we use to achieve it? Swearing and ranting is probably not the best tactic. Put forward your plan so we can all have a look at it.

Re: Reps and agreement
I think the main problem is that the union have asked a lot from us over the last 12 months, and we have gone along with everything, even when we have been messed about and the communication has been appalling. Then we get the deal, the union should just be honest and say it’s a crap deal but that’s the best we got. Either agree it or have a change of leadership.timbo1234 wrote: ↑23 Apr 2023, 10:45Vote no and gamble with yours and everybody's future. Can you gurantee RM will not enter administration? I think for me and a lot of people I have spoken with, if this deal goes through we won’t be there much longer.
To sum up the job with this deal -
Crap Pay
Worse hours
More pressure
We will be at minimum wage by 2025 at this rate!

Re: Reps and agreement
The negotiators rejected as much if not better
This isn’t even a compromise
Our reps will advise us to reject this sham
As should every other local rep
1 the pay offer is shite ,worst % offer of every group action in other companies nationally
2 the terms and conditions are as bad as what we originally rejected
So if going into administration is the nuclear option go for it
I got one am not going to run myself into the ground for shareholders to get even more millions in the long run
And they haven’t attacked your pensions yet and they will

Re: Reps and agreement
Show us the details and then we can plan from there. Are you seriously saying the three stooges who sat in front of the parliamentary committee looked worried about their profits and futures? this deal is an absolute cons yarn, dangle something out and hope enough goldfish bite

Re: Reps and agreement
This is probably what ST wanted all along. That was his plan. Personally I think we will stay above minimum wage a little while longer than 2025, maybe if we are lucky 2030, but I’m not sure what can stop that now.POP2022 wrote: ↑23 Apr 2023, 10:53timbo1234 wrote: ↑23 Apr 2023, 10:45Vote no and gamble with yours and everybody's future.
