New working hours

Post by Beforenineoclockgoodone »

Our office long & short days kick in next week, for any of you who have started how is it working & are they making you stay til the end. I can see a lot of falling out with this system, especially if the same people are singled out to do more once they have finished their own duty?

Long and shorts are a laugh because today for example was one of the heaviest days this week :confused (it was as heavy as yesterday) and this is one of the days they want to reduce to 7 hours :no no (that for me would have meant 1 1/2 hours OT).

Anyway we've not agreed to anything in my DO but it looks like it'll be forced through by EA

We already have the longs and shorts. 06.15 - 14.45 Mon, Thur, Fri. 06.15 - 14.15 Tue, We. and an earlier start for Sats, 05.15 to 11.45 A real mixed bag if you ask me. Today I hear they want to change our start times and make them EARLIER again with possible different start/ finish times as well. :d'oh!

We have longs and shorts and to be fair and honest they seem to working farly well. Except for Saturdays but thats a different subject.

However, can I point out that working after you have finished your duty is not part of longs and shorts, its part of flexibility and this has not yet been agreed on nationally. Locally may be a little different so I would check.
