If you accept the deal then don't moan
For those who are blinded by this lump sum and are accepting this s**t deal, please don't ever moan about working for Royal Mail ever again, you don't have the right to

It’s not that simple
Strikes aren’t really working, we stuck with best deal CWU can get
It could be worse, like P&O old employees

“Strikes aren’t working” I think that’s slightly disingenuous, the tactic of impotent 1 and 2 day strikes didn’t work or maybe that was the plan

I didn’t realise that the deal that agreed was out for all to read?
People will make their own decisions weather it’s a deal for them or not and they will have the right to moan about anything they like just because you have miraculously been able to read the deal before everyone else doesn’t mean you can dictate what people should be thinking or doing!

When you look back, our strike action was a joke.heraldmoth wrote: ↑18 Apr 2023, 22:27“Strikes aren’t working” I think that’s slightly disingenuous, the tactic of impotent 1 and 2 day strikes didn’t work or maybe that was the plan
Odd days off here and there would never have affected the huge network we work for. The Mail backlog was always going to be caught up and recovered soon enough.
It was a wasted opportunity to force their hand at an early stage, the longer we dallied the weaker our position became.
I'm dreading the details of what has been agreed to.

If it was a great deal I'm sure we would know about it by now.
The cwu could be ashamed of what they agreed to and probably a big ruck with the PEC going on.
Like most I'm not holding onto much hope on Friday

Well if I believe the deal is acceptable at the time I will vote yes and if I moan about RM in 6 months time I will choose to do so.
Who do you think you are dictating to everyone how they should be if they accept the deal exactly?

What's the deal? did it leak? I am pretty sure it's not out....
So what's your problem with this deal that hasn't even been released?
The revisions have arrived without a deal, the revisions suck, but then again we only have to work to our time. Then again it shows Royal Mail are clueless, don't care about the service and are continuing to rip off customers. The management needs to go for there to be any chance of staff and the public being treated with respect.
The deal you should want should be one to get rid of the current Royal Management otherwise things will always be a mess and you will always have something to complain about - everyone will.

Voting no shows a lack of trust in the CWU leadership, and shows they are out of touch with the membership, am not saying that I’ll be voting no btw. I’ll be waiting to see the detail but that’s what a ‘no’ vote would mean to me.

I’m more interested in why you think showing distrust in the CWU improves your working conditions and pay. Why even go out on strike, up to now, if you are going to turn down a pay rise and agreement just to spite the union? It is bizarre to me. Instead of agreeing to a deal you are happy to carry on with the same pay, having change imposed on you without any extra money.

Thats an easy opinion to take with hindsight, virtually every previous dispute has been resolved using those tactics, Also we had plenty crossing picket lines with 1/2 day strikes lots more would have crossed if asked to stay out for a whole week in a cost of living crisis. Not everyone lives at home with mum and dad.POSTPERSON50 wrote: ↑18 Apr 2023, 23:02When you look back, our strike action was a joke.heraldmoth wrote: ↑18 Apr 2023, 22:27“Strikes aren’t working” I think that’s slightly disingenuous, the tactic of impotent 1 and 2 day strikes didn’t work or maybe that was the plan
