The guys in our office use their cars because they have had it easy for so long. They still assume that 11.30 finishes will remain the norm. Their normal quote about the changes is on the lines of "won't affect me - I'll get around it somehow - I always have".

Not for much longer should'nt think , won't be anything in it for them .
Job and knock gone so what are your choices on a 3.5hr plus walk
1 Do it proper, have a nice day don't flog yourself fail to complete but finish on time.
2Subsidise RM profits using your money and car to do more work but finish on time.

when my partner isnt using the car I use my car on delivery to finish as quick as i can. Its entirely up to the individual. Im a float and some of the walks are 4 hours on an average day. When I finish I go home get changed and go out to another job. How dare any of you criticise me of making a living my way. It costs me petrol money usiing the car. I dont save the Royal Mail any money in the process either.
Far to many posties digging their feking noses into other peoples business. Get on with the job and shut your mouths

And whenever RM decide that you're finishing early and they give you more work to do what will you do then? That's right complain that the union won't do anything to help you.
I've said it before and I'll say it again :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh

So you drive around in your own car using your own petrol running the risk of losing your car because of a lack of insurance and running the risk of thieves targeting your car because it has something of value in it? and all because you don't want to finish over your time!!

The only way people will stop using their cars is when RM officially stop it, until that time ...or if that time ever comes people will carry on regardless....its fact. The majority use their cars in our office- new recruits even carry on the trend. :cry

most of the car users can't complete the duty in the 3 1/2 hours so they use a car but the only one who suffers is the person using the car as he / she will continue to do extra work for nowt (good on yer slaves) saves anyone else who doesn't use a car the extra work anyway

biggest fools are the ones who use there cars as they will end up doing more for royal fail in the near future , and those who refrain from car usage 'good on yer sport' for you will never become slaves to big al and lil ad :nana :nana

me using my car does not help anyone but myself
i dont save the royal mail money and i do get home quicker to give me time in house be4 i go out to my other employment. most the walks i do when i use the car i dont need to move the car from when i park up in the 1st place. plus the bags are still kept in their correct boxes. the only thing using the car helps me with is to get to the start of my delivery than i can drive straight home when finished
