Doesn’t matter what the Cwu have agreed to, if the membership think it’s sh!te they can vote it down. From the whispers coming out it sounds terrible. Likelihood a no from me.
More rumours then no doubt it will not have changed a tot from what rm put out at start of this week.an welcome btw 1st post after 9 yrs browsing lol
FYI I’ve not been on for the last 9 years as I’ve had no beef with the job and I have better things to do with my life than being on here. Never felt the need to vent my spleen. However, the last year has been utter sh!t and I’ve had enough of this terrible company. Good luck to new starters and long term workers, but the future is bleak and if anyone thinks different they are totally dillusional. I’m one of the many looking elsewhere and there are plenty of options. So good luck RM you won’t be missed as I’m sure I won’t be!

So the sick pay thing needs more detail. I have a chronic illness which means a regular procedure I have to have every 2 years for life meaning a 3 day absence.

This illness is covered under the equalities act so are they saying that if I was off again for any reason in these years I wouldn’t get paid ?

Bit of a kick in the teeth that.
The policy would be full pay for the first absence, any further abscences in the following 12 months would be under the new criteria of first 3 days SSP so unpaid.

So basically if you're off sick less than 12 months since your previous absence then the new rule would apply, if you only had three days off every two years you'd be paid the full amount.
Are you 100% sure this answer is correct. I feel like some people are making statements on this thread that might not necessarily be fact.
This is where I got the info I quoted, was posted on here recently
I work for DWP. You will NOT be paid for the first 3 days of ssp. Maybe if RM are meaning that they will pay you ssp rates for the first 3 days. SSP is about £98 per week. Not a lot.. Also the new ill health retirement, what a con. Most of your will leave with nothing as you'd will have been on the sick for several months in order to be retired on I'll health grounds. YOU SHOULD STRIKE ON THIS ALONE FFS.

They aren’t

McAuley has confirmed first three days of second absence is unpaid at 7 mins in the video
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next
