Here we go its UNISON time.
You’ll probably find unison (when you phone them to join) will direct you to the union you’re already in! Unison are a union for care workers, nurses teaching assistants, and general nhs workers not whining postal workers that’s never going to be happy with any deal that’s in front of them!

If the deal is as bad as what most of us think it is.
No amount of selling or spin will be able to sell it to the workforce.
It could well be voted DOWN....If they can sell it to the PEC.

Bottom line is if the union didnt think it was good enough to vote on they would have pulled out announced more strikes so in my opinion thats what we pay our subs for trust in them if they say strike then strike if say vote yes then vote yes etc if not happy leave union
Not necessarily. It’s the negotiators job to go in there and get the best deal they think is possible out of the company. Let’s see what the executive say and then ultimately we will get our say.
We all know what the executive will say , they will have been kept in the loop all the way through, it will be endorsed. It’s now up to our reps to sell it to us and I hope everyone reads the small print and holds them to account and not get blinded by lump sums.

9 pages of hypothetical so far and counting, wait until the full detail is given. For all you know it might be terrible, but one thing is certain, it probably wont be great but judge it on the facts everything else is just causing stress to you and your fellow workers.
Its the weekend and in a few days when we know the detail you can comment away to your hearts content.

Is it sane to lose even more money that you will never get back by continuing to Strike?
Most of the hardliners on here must have no children at home and no mortgage if they want to continue to Strike for the foreseeable future.

I have children and mortgage, doesn’t mean I have to vote yes to a crap deal , feel free to vote how you want though.

Am I right in thinking the delivery staff will get shafted as usual? I don’t like the commit to deliver part. No matter the amount of work you will stay out and complete I’ve heard. Let’s hope that is incorrect.
Yeah, it's always delivery that ends up drawing the short straw. Commit to deliver is never a serious proposal right now but I would expect some aspect of performance monitoring in the future. Royal Mail have the technology and regardless of what was said in the Select Committee's I believe managers fully intend to use it against us
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Most people have mortgages but it all depends on how much you owe and what your interest rate is.

Remind everyone that goes on strike whether it's sane to lose even more money?? Tell that to the junior doctors who are after a 35% pay rise or the nurses.

Some of us are not taken in by Royal Mails pathetic excuses about going into administration having just made record profits the year before. If people are bothered about money they should know that Royal Mails best and final offer that they made last year can and will be improved.

The devil will be in the detail but from experience you never just accept the first or even the second offer on the table

Who pays for a 35% pay increase for the Junior Doctors?
