Prince Harry blasts the Army postal service

Post by TrueBlueTerrier »

Prince Harry blasted the Army postal service - after a Christmas card from dad Charles turned up in Afghanistan over a month late.

He described the system as "pants" - and called for bosses to get mail to the frontline faster.

The 23-year-old said a common complaint he heard from soldiers was: "We know we've got post back there, why can't they get it out here?"

He explained: "I'm sure there are reasons behind it but it's something that needs to be worked on.

"No doubt I'll be asked numerous times and it's the one thing I'll bring up, the change in the guys' attitudes, their facial expressions and just their general morale when post rocks up."

He went on: "I've been getting post - even though it's addressed to my Colonel - it eventually makes it way to me. I got a Christmas card from my dad two weeks ago and that was pretty hard to take. I was a bit miffed about the whole thing."

Among letters he did receive was one from his brother William telling him their mother Diana would be proud of him serving his country.

How can we trust the Ministry of Defence to defend us all if they can't even deliver a letter without a months dalay ?
Now Harry is back from his jaunt in Afghanistan perhaps he should transfer to the BFPO and start getting their mail out on time.

Apparently there's a ongoing competition between the Forces Staff and the seconded to BFPO RM Managers in London . Quell Surprise -The Forces usually wins hands down , the mail gets out without a fraction of the nonsense and politics you come to expect with RM .
MURDERERS. Need to dispose of a body? Simply parcel it up and post it to yourself via DHL. You will never see it again.

Would not surprise me if the Forces Lads still carry out what we euphamistically called "Active Counselling" when I was in. You know the routine, quite word behind the Yorkies - Tyson style. Image

I always use ebluey when sending letters,I type out the letter on my computer and it gets printed out at the base, whether it be afghanistan or iraq it takes two days at most for it to arrive.
I am a postman and I kept the faith and I kept voting, not for new labour but for the working man.
