Over the last two decades, precedents have been set, including discrimination (on grounds of disability, race etc) sexual harassment (this is not the same as bullying, but shares the underlying lack of behavioural maturity), and child abuse. In each case, there was initial resistance and reluctance to act, but now respect for others, especially those who differ from society's currently accepted 'norm', is incorporated into human knowledge and, where appropriate, enshrined in law.

£14.95 Is a great price but i do think you could of kept your money in your pocket and used a nice bit of 4b2 to hit the fecking bullies with...

A pick axe handle does the job as well... Bullys dont carry on after a visit from that.. Who said the pen is mighter than the sword...?

At the present rate we'll soon need a barrister to check over what we're going to say before we say it. There'll be no humor allowed, no spontaneity as people cultivate the art of being offended, more devious types lure those they dont like into saying something that could get them into trouble, possibly even get them the sack.
Does that sound paranoid ? Ive seen it work first-hand.
Management are using this to their advantage with a zero tolerance policy where and when it suits them. Im against REAL bullying and harassment but we need some re-definition and common sense with these issues.
There was a time when actions spoke louder than words and people were held responsible for what they actually did, now you could literally lose everything on a joke.

not saying anything to someone can be classed as bullying as you are alienating them so we were informed by a manager on one of their bullying and harrasment purges

We are now seeing political correctness going mad - no more is it just required that you do not say things to upset people - now you have to go out of your way to placate them and make them feel welcome in the workplace when their behaviour may not warrant it.

If ignoring someone that you don't like or agree with is classed as bullying and harassment, when in fact it is your way of avoiding confrontation then we are all in deep s**t.

The next steps will probably be accusations of "not thinking correctly" or "questioning a management decision" or "glancing in someone's direction".

Ever increasingly a postie's job requires a thick skin and a sense of humour - if we are expected to shed the skin and lose the humour we will ALL be vulnerable.

Is it time to rebel against this ridiculous scenario where we have to think hard about everything we say and do at the risk of upsetting someone who's attitude to life makes them totally unsuitable for the job we do?

There are 2 people in my office who do not speak to me at all! it really makes me feel bad. 1 of these people 1 guy and 1 girl. The girl has already had fallout with 2 other females now which have left, the guy in question was a guy who thought he may have me for his girlfriend and no matter how many times i told him he never listened, now that i have a boyfriend slowly but surely he moved away from me now to the point he hates me and wont say a word to me.

I have been meaning to bring this up with my workplace councillor in atos and after reading this now i know im not alone. If it is classed as a form of bullying then thats a bit dodgy as they could blame the inocent person, what are your thoughts fellow workers?

Your case illustrates the point perfectly that not speaking to someone - or anyone - is a personal freedom and from what you say, you are better off without the two people you mention speaking to you. Unless the people concerned actively encourage others to ignore you then I wouldn't worry about it. From your many posts on here Madelin4 I think there is far too much about you for any normal person to ignore you - I certainly wont

Thanks rhino49 , we cannot keep everyone happy. I just get paranoid at times becasue of it and these 2 people in question like to be heard and more so the guy is very loud.

Best attitude towards those stupid sad instuitionalized b***ers is f**k 'em all , they can be very obsessional , RM is their petty little world but that's their problem as it's all they know. Don't go down to their level or play their playground games as it's exactly what they want , rise above it all .

As for the female , she sounds like an attention seeking , s**tstirring cow , but if people are daft enough to give her the attention she wouldn't get elsewhere !

If it is more sinister , it is a form of bullying from these sad immature a***holes , 23% of complaints made to the EOC concerned women who were being harassed into relationships with RM Managers .
