55% is hardly a ringing endorsement but it is the majority rule.

55% is more of an endorsement than Bush got with his rigged Presidential election victory.

Disappointed in you L Tommo, the guy didn't ask for his station in life and has tried to be independent in thought and deed from what the establishment would expect - by all accounts he is a good officer which is far more than many of us have experienced in this job - give the guy a break. P.S. Have a couple of Stellas and cheer up, Spurs might have another trophy on the way soon.

I may have misunderstood. But from what I have heard in the news, it's not Prince Harry's safety that they are most concerned about, but his men. If they were worried about him, they wouldn't have sent him to the front line in the first place. They would have sent him somewhere safer.

As I have said before: Royals like Prince Harry, Prince Andrew, etc.. Are intent on bringing back the tradition of the Royal Family, being in the thick of it, in war time. And I have a deep respect for them, for doing that.

You are right about his Troops too. They should have moved ALL of them, not take a Commander that they know and trust away from them. They should have been kept together as a Unit.

Regardless of my views on the Royal Family . A lot of them are or have been better suited to Forces Life than Civvy Street such as the Old Sea Dog , The Duke of Edinburgh , you can go back to King George V ; there was one old sea dog who said he'd served under a few of the Royal Family and found Prince Charles to be the best .

Basically it's a matter of having Proper Jobs and a purpose . Secondly if you go back in History , it's what they've always done .

As for Princess Diana , she did try and drag the Royal Family ; kicking and screaming into the last century and there would have been a time that her sort would have either been thrown in the Tower or committed to an asylum.

The Media thing with her was ridiculous , some of it was deliberate dumbing down of the media as they rather have us all on a diet of trivia than concerned with what was actually going on the country . She coped like most people would have of her age and without training .
