Not short sighted at all just worn down don’t forget the union haven’t really made RM budge, seriously I really don’t see what striking over spring or summer would achieve. Always been a big union supporter but just remember the miners lost their strikes and there’s nothing to guarantee we can win ours. You’re up against capitalism and it really doesn’t give a damn about you. I know full well the offer won’t be put to us, but I also know that the strikes won’t happen indefinitely at some point members will go back in whether that’s right or wrong.

Sick pay has been decimated !
Flexing will make no difference to walks which are too big and we know managers are really to lazy to level them out.
Last letter 16:30 (that letters not parcels) ,the upper echelons haven’t a clue about delivering in the sticks on unlit roads or in the dodgy parts of inner cities.
10% pay rise over three years is poor.
The price of standard stamps have risen much more this April.
A two tier workforce on different terms would never be acceptable.
We deserve better.

Seeing those three jokers & titles @ the bottom of the statement, Simon Thompson, Zareena Brown & Ricky McAulay means today I will walk just a tad slower & maybe leave one more loop in

This deal reads as "we're going to add more workload so when we've flogged you into the ground and you're broken you'll get nothing".
Even if they put this deal to the members I'd vote no. It's basically a buy down of terms and conditions on the cheap.
If you want to vote on this and accept this then it's not the union selling you down the river.
More strikes on the horizon. And those saying they won't strike will just be getting more Executive action.

How much savings of less than 1million a day loss, is this proposed offer really going to save?
Even if it was 50% less, it's still a significant sum of money for RM to be losing!
It still won't be enough & the company board will still bemoan this fact.
It will soon be steam rolling ahead with 'part Deux' of its master plan strategy

Love the fact they have listed last letter Delivery as 16.30 but not last piece of mail as that time would work out well in terms of firms and Post Office collection of 5pm and that's not allowing the 24 minute flex on top of that. How does 10 30 am to 17 54 pm as a duty sound to people oh and the 24 minute flex on top all for 3.3 % a year only 7 % less than inflation

Have they factored in any changes upcoming from the Network Review in the autumn?denhamhoop wrote: ↑06 Apr 2023, 09:43Love the fact they have listed last letter Delivery as 16.30 but not last piece of mail as that time would work out well in terms of firms and Post Office collection of 5pm and that's not allowing the 24 minute flex on top of that. That's what I thought, the way the jobs going a large number of folk will be having more sick time and more will be IHR'd but nobody seem's at all concerned about that

Re: Talks have ended - no agreement : Added RM's improved offer to 1st post
So, to summarise the latest “offer” we have
• A massive real terms pay cut, with further cuts to come over the next 5 years so that our pay will match the inferior contracts of new starters at minimum wage plus 10% by that time.
• Later start and finish times
• Seasonal hours
• Effectively an end to IHR as very few get IHR before being off sick for a lengthy period
• An attack on sick leave with those unfortunate enough to have more than 1 sickness absence in 12 months having their pay stopped for 3 days.
My notice went in this morning so I guess I no longer have skin in the game, but what made the CWU think that they were close to achieving an acceptable deal and why the f*** have they wasted a couple of months of their massive mandate for strikes?
