Put it too vote and work 2 rule.
A work to rule will never work and is impossible to enforce and probably wouldn't even pass the legal criteria for striking, people need to stop suggesting this as some magic bullet.

Its over a month and a half since the overwhelming ballot result in favour of strikes. And royal mail have been stringing you along for months. The mandate is running out and the clock is ticking.......

Its been over a year since April 2022 and our piss poor 2% (against 10% inflation) payrise. Its 2023/24 already. We need some money now.

Either accept the deal and give us our money or announce some strike dates. Stop wasting our time.

How much longer are we going to wait?
There is no deal on offer. Talks have broken down.

It was only announced a few hours ago, chill out.
Okey dokey I have taken my chill pill now :-) Just get on with it CWU
We need to strike for a week everything else has been tried.
Why your on strike for a week I’m going into clean up on o/t oh good luck

There would be a deal if the union agreed and put it to a vote as they should.
Yeah basically the union can either accept the deal, put it to a vote or announce strikes. They just need to get on with it, they have taken too long in my opinion.

Many of us are struggling right now. I know that £1,500 plus 2% pay rise or £500 plus 6% pay rise from April 2023 would massively help me out.

Either give us the chance to get the money or announce strike dates and get on with it.
Is the £1500 option not mean you don't get the money until 2024

Why are we fighting for the terms of people who don’t even work for RM yet? If they take the job with different terms then that is their choice. If we are reducing the workforce there shouldn’t be that many new starters anyway.
Good point. Let's also remember that RM will be back for more strings anyway, so new starters should look elsewhere if they want to be treated with respect and with better prospects. I certainly would not recommend a friend or family member to work for RM anymore after what they have put us all through, so why should we encourage total strangers work for RM by fighting for better terms and conditions for them? I would tell any good person to steer clear and if they get poor terms and conditions, then good people will run a mile and those who do end up with RM, a lot of them will be undesirables who will be a nightmare to manage. In the end, new starters will come and go like a revolving door, which means less subs and I think this is what the cwu are scared of. But obviously we don't know yet what the full reasons that talks have folded

There’s a lot in the deal that they don’t want to tell you about but will come out in the wash shortly.

Obviously, the deal is shite and not worth putting vote and no doubt the Union will inform us why.

Hand us back (re-nationalise) then we can go back to being a service! Remember, before privatisation, RM always gave the Government money(and, out in the sticks and elsewhere, we were part of the glue binding communities together)!
My word if you think this is going to happen, go and bang your head against a wall.

Privatisation was 10 years ago, in a very different postal world than we live in now.

If you think it's bad now, you are definitely not prepared for what it will be like if it goes back into public hands. All this government will be doing is looking for someone with money to take it back off their hands again, probably at a knock down price, and the scenario will start all over again but from a much worse position.

As for RM giving the government money, if they ARE on the brink of administration where do you think this magic money tree will come from?
Who knows but enough for everyone to receive 1500 pro rata

The union have done zero to stop the strikes so I can't see they'll stop us from becoming slaves.
