No update before easter or a week after easter as both Royal Mail and the CWU will be filling their faces full of chocolate

The attitude of some (probably most, in fact) people on this forum over these talks are insane.

There are probably agreements and NDAs that the union can't give updates on the talks. They're not going to give daily updates on what has and hasn't been discussed or agreed, and the fact that nothing is being said, if anything, is probably a good sign.

The company has certain things that they want to bring in and they will have costed them against the impact of strikes. There's just no way to negotiate against that but silence from the union doesn't mean that they're rolling over. If they were, they'd have come out weeks ago with an "offer". I don't think they've done anything to justify the people attacking them, who presumably think they should be saying "give us everything we want" and then calling a strike when they say no.

It is obvious the negotiations are not going to plan and more now about how to sell it to the members.

How different the language being used is different from the start with Win the Ballot win the dispute and no strings?

Wouldn't say they are deafening on the union side when they are basically chiming in about Labour on Twitter and the April Fools Prank. But, yeahhhh progress has been made clearly :hmmmm

People have every right to criticise at this point, given how much money they have lost, how changes are already being rammed through and we are seeing absolutely zero sign of progress being made.

The morale’s good where I am. By giving us more work we’re doing less if you know what I mean. And our managers back us.

As it stands the strikes days have been for nothing as everything we went on strike over has almost all come in. I stand corrected if this isn't the case in other offices.

Agreed. We’ve been told bugger all also.. We should be told what has been resolved and what are the current sticking points. It’s the least they can say and it’s not much to ask.

They will have been for nothing shortly if they don't follow up with more strikes unless some amazing deal is underway, which is looking unlikely.

Non Disclosure Agreements mean nothing as the CWU have made it no secret one of the sticking points is gIving amnesty to reps dismissed or currently suspended. No employer will agree to those threats and should never be part of the original dispute.

If reps like any other employee breached the conduct code then they have to face the consequence of their actions like any other employee.
