Spend some time with your family, they’ll be saying @ the wake, we never seen him, he was always @ work, enjoy yourself it’s later than you think 💀
What if your partner works and the kids are at school? Some people still enjoy the job believe it or not.
You need to get a hobby !!! or life :)

Would not work my day off don’t need the money and refuse to work for less money (21pence per hour less) than the day before the overtime rates are shocking in this company

Why is it unfortunate too many people in this job poking their nose into what other people are doing.doubt anyone works ot just for the fun of it.

My office has recently introduced time off in lieu (TOIL)
it's an absolute game changer, I'm effectively working 4 day weeks now. So much better for work/life balance & mental health.

I can understand working your day off if you need to for a month or so, but who wants to work 6 days a week, walking another 10+ miles.

These posties probably do overtime during the rest of the week too.

Must be walking 70miles+ a week.

I am dead after working to my time 5 days a week.

Not exactly poking my nose in to what other people are doing.
It's unfortunate because I end up being moved from what should be my duty to accommodate his desire for extra cash.

Have you seen what you get paid after tax and ni for working your day off? About time an overtime rate was negotiated by the union but I doubt they could agree on anything anyway.
The union have always been opposed to a higher rate for overtime as they'd rather RM just took on more staff, because more staff = more union membership subs... just another example of the self serving union who don't act in the best interests of their members.

Yes because you can only indulge in hobbies during the working day. You come home and go straight to bed? Interesting.

No need for an apology.

As for him being a Rep, I think at the moment ( for the last few years) what can they do?
I know him coming in to work OT on what is my duty that day rankles me. Let's face it, most duty holders only want to OT on what the call their own duty.

Who the F would want to be a Rep now?
