Once your manager has the report can be as quick as one-two weeks.

Just need the figures and paperwork from HR to come through to sign on the dotted line as it appears no scoping exercise is required. payment normally the following Friday after last day of service. You will be gone as soon as you sign the paperwork

Good luck for the future!
I'm in the same process at the moment, since my CSP shift has been removed as part of the "revision"... I had my Optima health appointment on Monday who said although I was fit for my csp shift i was not fit to go back on delivery.

So i indicated my preference for IHR to my manager. Next stage apparently is manager to get permission from HR, and then possibly a second appointment with optima health this time with a occupational health gp. According to manager it could take 4 to 6 weeks for everything to be done.

The health GP is was great. Even helped point me in the right direction for the disability benefits I could apply for. Good luck.

I had a similiar thing except Optima said I could do my job with adjustments, the managers are not interested though just divided my job up and gave it to two others, the work is still there they just want to get rid of me, not heard whether they will send me back for another optima bullshit report that is more to there liking, not arsed.
I will take them to an ET AGAIN. :nana
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09

Very weird. I really need the paperwork now to sign. Everything has been done and I am now starting to panic. I know it’s HR I’m waiting on with figures.

You can always give HR a shout yourself and chase it up. Normally takes no more than 48 hours to get the paperwork back

Perhaps ask the dom to give you it in writing that IHR won't be offered due to the current situation? Perhaps he is saying so, to "hope" you will either just resign or leave under basic redundancy package so as to not affect his bonus?

Yeah, with the tone of her voice it sounded like she wasnt bothered.just thinking of her bonus as you say.what a sad state of affairs we are all in.it gets me angry that we have all worked really hard when rm counted on us through Christmas and the pandemic but the company are showing their true colours.

It is still being offered as i was offered it last week ,does the OH report suggest you should be managed out of the business ?

Please don't accept what the manager says. You don't have a contract with the manager. You have a contract that says IHR is part of your terms and conditions.

Write to your Area Rep and ask them to make immediate representations on your behalf .

At the very least send your manager today an email and cc area rep. Quote the date and the managers conversation. Say you cannot accept this interpretation of the contract and formally request an IHR referral.

They'll then say it's premature ( because you need an initial OH referral perhaps to look at your capacity etc) but you really need to put this request in writing asap and go through the OH process.

I'd also go to your own GP and see what they think. If they're on your side, so much the better because it's an expert opinion they can't much ignore. Well, not in the real world ie an employment tribunal. They may pretend to ignore it but they can't really. Create an evidence trail of emails, so they know there will be something to show to a tribunal and then they know they cant ignore you.

I've seen so many good honest sick people wait for years for their IHR, or leave without it, just because of the say so of their DOMs. "Oh we can't afford it this year/too many already this year etc". It was all bull.

Facts: It's not up to the Management or HR, or some unknown depleted budget (btw the Ill Health Agreement provides that RM have insurance against the coffers actually being empty) it's a contractural benefit and they can only act as gatekeeper, not doormen barring entry. I know because I've had quality legal advice on this very issue.

Hope this helps. I know when you're told something by management, perhaps with a sweet little sorry we can't help you face, that you feel you have no options. You do. It's all in your terms and conditions. Good luck.
