Pessimistically I imagine that the CWU will announce strikes, and mention the suspended reps in the strike announcement. Then RM will have it legally challenged as the ballot wasn't for that
There's a good chance that RM will get an injunction anyway due to election mail. Sadly I can't see us being able to go on strike until after the local elections

If the attacks on us continue with no sick pay when your actually off on the sick, reinstating folk that have been suspended, performance related on a daily basis (it's not a conversation, it's an interrogation), moving people around in short notice.

Then a strike is inevitable. Bring it on, let the company burn because I don't think and many would hopefully agree that we deserve to be treated better than this, instead of feeling worthless when we set foot through the workplace.
Get a different job. If this job makes you feel worthless find employment somewhere else that makes you happy.
Never said I feel worthless, just most of the folk in the workplace don't feel valued anymore. Change of management, loads of pressure. The job has certainly changed, but it doesn't make me want to look for another job unless I lose it.

Ok. Well as long as you don’t feel worthless.

To be honest the prep time has been diminishing for the last 10 years or more. Every time we had our hours cut it normally impinged on prep time. 25 mins is a big hit though with more calls as well.
Our prep time is absolutely f c k d.

WHY?

Cos we are massively understaffed. No day-off cover, no annual leave cover. If you're not doing 2 days mail on your own job there's a reasonable chance you will be moved to do 2 days mail on someone else's round. Door2doors get miles behind. And these days we have to scan our own tracked which probably adds another 5 minutes to the prepping.

Why should politicians receive preferential treatment over the people who elect them. If Mrs Bloggs cancer screening results can sit undelivered for day on end, why should her prospective MP or Councillor even be asking for her vote.?
They are not unaware of the situation at Royal Mail.

The business will fail without an agreement. The board knows this. It must be the ultimate aim.

There's no way they are making an agreement tomorrow.....

that list is endless.

What have Royal Mail and the CWU been doing for the past month..... smoking cigars and drinking whiskey together?
Exactly. I'm sick of hearing "progress has been made in some areas". What that really means is they are being played. Feed the CWU with a little "progress" in order to mess with their heads and keep them at bay. Progress has to be made in all areas, otherwise, its just mind games and delaying tactics

After creditors is it so called preferred shareholders that get next dibs on what's left? Maybe getting a lot of their money back? Then they can buy up what they see as the profitable parts for diddly?

Theres probably some law preventing RM going on strike when elections are due, we would be depriving Mrs Bloggs from her democratic right to vote . The fact she's gravely I'll isnt important :confused

It’s unbelievable it’s come to this but it’s all over and we all know it
Supported the CWU and every strike in my 15 years at Royal Mail but this day was always coming at some point when we were privatised
I would never break a picket line not a chance in hell so time to seek another job

FFS at this rate we should let RM decide when they would like us to go on strike

So we are still not allowed to know the details...

For example, how much are they offering on pay? Update without much substance - same as it ever was...

It is going to the wire!
