The PEC were supposed to be meeting today…..

I think we should be shown the offer in full and vote on it.

The union said last week in comments on their Facebook feed in reply to members that they would call strikes on Tuesday(today) if no progress. So expect an update in around 17 days or so……
They are the living example of incompetence.

I assume they use rhetoric like "well we are going to call a strike if there's no progress by xxxxx" in the same way RM use "we will go into administration if there's no progress by ...." It's all games and threats and trying to hurry up what's been a very drawn out process, with no thought for the people doing the job who just want an answer (and I include lower level managers in this, as they are also clueless as to what's happening and probably worried about their jobs too)

Managers are not that worried as they are all getting bonus payments for revision implementation.

Ours all seem very jittery and out of sorts... Though that may be down to there now being 2 more than we actually need just wandering about the place!

I think it will be a face saving exercise by the CWU. They obviously reiterate the “alleged” financial problems faced by RM! We will then be made to feel fortunate that we will get a meagre pay rise,& still in employment. I have always backed the union,& always will. But I think there have been a lot of bad decisions made during this dispute. Be interesting to see what the bosses receive when they get their next well bonuses!!! Try not to get too down, & don’t let all this crap affect your mental health

I think the CWU have excelled in there job. The criticisms exist duely to how advanced and far a ruthless employer has acted with clearly the best legal advisers the land has to offer.

Every twist and turn has been investigated, every nook and advantage taken. Royal Mail has finally found a way to bring in change and discard the Union. Truly in hindsight this has all been about union busting.

And it's worked. No wonder in the select committee, Mr Thompson refused to say who the advisers are. They are brutal.
