Yet again calling the CEO of the company you work for and Boss "Slyman" shows the contempt its unionised workers have for their employer. This juvenile rhetoric is what has got us into this position.
That includes the CWU director of communications Chriss Webb after his stunt in Parliament.
.
At the end Royal Mail will end up like British Leyland if this continues,
Come on - you don't believe that. Offering and imposing a 2% pay rise is what got us here. If they had offered 5/6% last summer with a few minor strings attached we'd all have been in a better place.

I’m wondering. Why would someone who is so anti union spend so much time on a forum that is by and large so pro union?
It’s bizarre.

You will not be clapping and shouting once the P45 arrives.
Some of us want to stay in a secure job with a guaranteed wage packet each month
Red sometimes people like you with your opinions make me dispair, they wont just sack us all, theres a whole process to go through before anything like that happens, i am surprised with your employment law knowledge you havent already googled it to give us all the info. Try maybe to stay off social media for a while and relax, nobodys clapping or shouting about the situation but we didnt put us where we are in the first place, you cant blame the posties for everything and its about time those responsible stood up and took the blame. If you think what RM are proposing is going to give you a secure job for the future good luck with that. By the way if you get paid monthly does that mean you are management? Just asking.

If RM go tits up its been an asset stripping job all along, just like many businesses before. If it hadn't been for the USO and the name Royal Mail and perhaps the CWU it would have been done and dusted 6 or 7 years ago . I'm all for people making lots of money but the type of people that do what RM are doing completely forget there are human beings helping to make that money

Actually you did put us in this position and not management by accepting that ballot and tearing up the legal protections in the Agenda For Growth agreement. That was basically a no strike agreement

RM had already ignored the Agenda For Growth agreement by implementing executive action and imposing the 2% without negotiation

Hence the ballot

Since when are employers obligated to give a pay rise each year?

You look at the public sector workers who went years without one and a pay freeze

The agreement was that any payrise is negotiated and agreed with the union. They imposed it without agreement.

Therefore breaking the previous agreement, making it executive action which lead to industrial action in return.
