That should put paid to the administration rumours - he’s not upping his stake if the shares are about to become worthless.

IDS aren't just Royal Mail though , it looks like DK either been told that a pay deal is imminent or RM is going to be put into admin and become somebody else's problem,

How do they go to the Government cap in hand the same time as being referred to OFCOM for the systematic failure of the USO?

IDS won't be going "cap in hand" they'll be asking them to take over the running of RM from them, they'll earn nothing from the deal apart from getting RM off the books

If it does only relate to the USO will IDS still keep the parcel side of the business, if so, you can now see why they've been building hubs whilst spending little money on DO's/MCs. There could be 3 companies involved in the split, RM letter & packets, RM Tracked & large parcels/Parcel Force & GLS. the last two groups all then being merged into one big group in the UK, was this KW's/ST's plan all along hence why they proposed T&C's which were never likely to be agreed in order to manufacture a major dispute and also managed to keep the parcel side of the business ticking over during the dispute?
