I just don’t think it’s credible. No doubt Royal Mail have raised the prospect of administration in the talks to try strong arm the union. I don’t think the union really believe it’s on the cards but have put the rumour out there because they know if/when they get an agreement it’s going to be a giant pile of turd. At least this way they can say the agreement isn’t perfect but hey at least the company hasn’t went under. Very cynical from both sides in my eyes but that’s where we are at.
So basically you think the union and RM have woven a position where they can say “7% and a few strings attached and changes here and there….. but at least you’ll have a job!”
Wouldn’t surprise me. The CWU need something to be able to claim victory to. 110,000 not losing their jobs could be that something.
And RM need to play the hobo role that also hails victory at the fact we are not going to be unemployed.

I agree, a lot of dirty tricks are being pulled here basically in order to get what they want, nothing but scaremongering in my opinion.

Dirty tactics at work and they have shown their hand with all the EA that was agreed to be pulled whilst the cosy chats continue

If this has been leaked to the press then people need to start taking matters seriously, including the CWU or will end up like British Leyland

It is complete scaremongering bullshit started by whomever for whatever reason(insert here)

If it was true it would be all over the news - leaked from sources etc etc

It is either a wind up/chinese whispers snowballed which is par for the course in RM

PS

To be honest though i am half hoping i am wrong

Sick of RM and the CWU

If Royal Mail can not give us decent pay and conditions well they might as well go to the wall,if the government take it over using public money we carry on striking until we do ,why should we take a hit for greedy bosses, bad mismanagement and failed Tory policies, its time to make a stand whatever the outcome.

That editorial is dated today and posted less than an hour ago

That is why they call them scoops as beaten other media to the post and playing catch up

Obviously RM have no intention of coming to an acceptable agreement. Time to call a series of strikes throughout the summer. Glad I'm getting out of this basket case of a company.

Maybe if the CWU took its demands with suspended and dismissed reps out of the talks who have their own disciplinary process, agreement on the actual cause of the complaint and dispute can be made. It is no more than Russian roulette now on the very survival and peoples livelihoods

We are aware of the speculation, said a royal mail spokesman. So it's a none story

To be fair any company would say that to the press as any comment can influence the share price direct from the horses mouth.

Locally they were a different format from previous years which has been a single card. They were a letter in an envelope, the back of the letter was about the photo id requirements
