Thank you, been a while since I did a dispatch but recall it could often be hectic getting it ready on time! So most of the free time will come from delivery staffSpacePhoenix wrote: ↑26 Mar 2023, 16:58Dispatch times are at the end of the shift so if the mail isn't ready by then it fails. You might get the odd time but no one skips breaks. A right mix of large and small, Tracked and non-Tracked and it's near enough a dead cert that you'll get at least a couple of yorks with SDs on them as well. We sort normal large and Tracked large together, don't think it'll end up being too long before they have us doing the same for normal smalls and Tracked smallspieoftheday wrote: ↑26 Mar 2023, 16:12I bet there arnt many if any in processing cutting corners and its happening there too, happy to be corrected if people are?

It is your free will you have a right to work or not work if you do not you are but a slave which was abolished in 1834 by William Wilberforce an independent Member of Parliament. The constitution of the land still holds. It would be the decision of a court of who is free and not bonded by the acts of parliament and in doing so would we would all be enslaved or free.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑26 Mar 2023, 17:12Unfortunately in practice it would require a ballot because if loads start doing it, RM could construe it to be unofficial industrial action

Re: DOING THE JOB PROPERLY
As the classic line from Cool Hand Luke goes, ‘some people you just can’t reach.’
There’s a park and loop here, 600 ish calls on each. It’s usually done by a male and female postie. They never ever take breaks, come in early, doorstep, rush round, and come back early (‘only’ 20mins early but still....). On occasion I’ve worked with one of them and have implored them to start on time, do the job properly. It goes in one ear and out the other.
Management have simply made one of them a reserve and the other is now doing 1200 calls. She still comes in early, works through her breaks, and now comes back late even though there’s an OT ban. She works unpaid at the start, unpaid at the end. You just can’t reach so many of our colleagues.

The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

same here ! and i use a lw trolley on EVERY loop regardless of how heavy it is , just remember if you carry heavy bags and get a back problem they will not pay you ! "well you should be using a trolley that.s our policy and that's what they are there for, so no sick pay for you i'm afraid !"sixfoottwo wrote: ↑26 Mar 2023, 17:04I've always done the job properly, start on time breaks and finish on time.
The only thing I don't do all the time is use a lwt but sometimes I have no choice!
I've not booked ot for at least 20yrs! Everyone knows how I work and it's very straightforward!

Whilst should be using LWT, that is not true - they cant prove your back issue was the result of overweight bags and not using trolleyCRIBMAD wrote: ↑26 Mar 2023, 17:46same here ! and i use a lw trolley on EVERY loop regardless of how heavy it is , just remember if you carry heavy bags and get a back problem they will not pay you ! At the end of the day we have 2 weeks to get a deal and I think we will but it won’t please everyone,at the end of the day we need to change but we also need people to earn a decent wage at the end of the week and not go home so tired you can’t move

True. But if you fall over and break your ankle and the management see that you have two heavy bags next to you and the trolley locked to a lamppost 3 miles away….Acca Dacca wrote: ↑26 Mar 2023, 17:56Whilst should be using LWT, that is not true - they cant prove your back issue was the result of overweight bags and not using trolleyCRIBMAD wrote: ↑26 Mar 2023, 17:46same here ! and i use a lw trolley on EVERY loop regardless of how heavy it is , just remember if you carry heavy bags and get a back problem they will not pay you ! Re: DOING THE JOB PROPERLY
Be it overweight bags caused musculoskeletal issuers or not, Using a trolley as delivery equipment is mandatory. The only exception will be things like tower blocks etc where a pouch is used.Acca Dacca wrote: ↑26 Mar 2023, 17:56Whilst should be using LWT, that is not true - they cant prove your back issue was the result of overweight bags and not using trolleyCRIBMAD wrote: ↑26 Mar 2023, 17:46same here ! and i use a lw trolley on EVERY loop regardless of how heavy it is , just remember if you carry heavy bags and get a back problem they will not pay you ! This attack on terms and conditions is a direct result of employees refusing to use that mandatory equipment and both Royal Mail and the CWU refusing to crack the whip
Employees getting home early, doing and finishing overtime in duty time are all a root cause. Employees rubbed Royal Mails nose in it.
Now they have all that lovely PDA data to back up and justification for these revisions, so who really is at fault?

Hence the words 'whilst should be using LWT' were used to open my post lenredlen wrote: ↑26 Mar 2023, 18:23Be it overweight bags caused musculoskeletal issuers or not, Using a trolley as delivery equipment is mandatory. Re: DOING THE JOB PROPERLY
I do the job properly. I don’t start early I always have my full breaks and I don’t carry overweight bags.
In the coming revision I’ve had nothing added to my delivery. It’s probably helps it was already big and my PDA actuals back that up.
Still amazes me how many start early and take shortcuts.
