We all know Royal Mail is understaffed to a point it is collapsing.

Instead of demonizing agency workers why does the CWU not fight to get them contracts and alleviate the pressure? They can increase the CWU membership that way as well

What a £11.40 ones with no shift allowances or function supplement. Be better off stacking shelves in a supermarket or selling perfume or working in a corner shop or sweeping the streets or giving parking tickets out!

The new regular wage RM wants is that contract from October 1st 2022 and that is it and most of these are not in the union because they are paid crap and cannot afford it!

Agreed.

There are things the Government could do as well such as stop others companys being able to piggyback the DSA if things do go totally tits up. It used to all be Royal Mail.

Also the EU law that came in to do with data protection had a massive impact on letters, especially the flats. Maybe now we are not in the EU this could be reversed. I'm a remainer btw.

But are the people who got paid off also not part of it? but will the new entrants do anything about it? Possibly not so what about it While I think we should all be paid the same we should all act the same for that aim. But most do not see it that way and will prop up a failed leadership for a few dollars less pity them making excuses!

I remember letter volumes dropping more or less overnight. Pre GDPR you was getting a minimum of two trays of mech every day.
