I work full time for 3 years and don't catch the van on heavy days either. Don't worry about it.

What a cr@p day, started late callers at 11.30, early callers shift finishes at 2pm before most of the posties come back, phoned down to the managers office(answer machine again) to get some help, no help came, it took me till 18.45 to get packets put away in between customers...........p'd right off with this long & short sh*t
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet

What an unbelievably busy day! It's been fairly light all week, today it all came in. I had twice as much mail as yesterday & Wednesday, those usually being our busiest days. All the Sky mags....which had to go out today. Looks like someone at the MC f*cked up big time!
Hope it's not as bad tomorrow. :nervous :nervous :nervous

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Nightmare office if I can believe what is said on this forum. We haven't even started the new scheme yet but I dread for when we do. Ips from 6.10 until 7.30 - back on IPS from 8.15 until about 9.00 (yes we do have a sort-of night shift). Nobody takes meal relief -about 50% in before 5.30 (start time 6.00). Disparity between walks glaringly obvious. About 20% use cars (including senior staff and reps). How easy is it to get a transfer???

TYPICAL BLEEDING MONDAY

Post by TrueBlueTerrier »

DFS 2nd class 1 for 75% of the addresses on me walk really heavy each one as well - bleeding 10 bags today.

To top it off it snowed on and off all day. When it was snowing it was freezing but when it stopped the sunshine was so strong i began to sweat like a pig. Don't know whether I coming or going.

We've got the DFS stuff tomorrow, they were meant to go out today, someone found them hidden in the corner of the MC. Had an artic turn up today full of cr*p, at least it was one of ours and not TNT/Business Post.

were those big white letters the dfs stuff?, had shed loads my self today love bending them on those side facing letterboxes, like mission impossible trying to get anything through them. When if ever does it get quieter, I have been with them since last july and cant remember a quiet time?. Doesnt help doing a different walk every week.

mail left in from saturday

Post by ray of sunshine »

I walked into work this morning and what did i find?
nearly two thirds of the walk was left in from saturday.
It seems 3 other walks were left in as well.
The dum had his long weekend again.
It seems one of the Phg's was asked what walk he was going to take out on saturday.
he replied none of them and then went home at 10am.
our union rep was not happy.
I asked if i was having any overtime for taking everything out?
when he didnt say anything i asked what shall i leave in?
the phg looked at me and book it tomorrow.
i will as it after 2.30pm when i got finished! :mad :mad :mad
