It shows bad faith to announce a strike action whilst talking especially when you have done your worst in striking previously...
It is petulant and not constructive!
Mere announcement of strike action is damaging to the business and could potentially end the talks too...
When talks fail then do as you please but right now, it is stupid, and in keeping with their amateurish ways of operating a modern trade union.

They've announced they intend to strike after Easter. It's not like calling strikes has made any difference in the past!
They have announced that if there is no agreement reached when talks conclude early next week then strikes will be announced
They havent announced strikes yet - so chris saying that strikes have been announced whilst talks are still ongoing is wrong

There's too much conflicting information, misinformation, no information, mind games and sabotage to really come up with any logical conclusion
Way is see it is we will get strike dates on the 28th March announced for whenever and it will take two weeks but the only thing stopping agreement is Royal Mail they need to concede ground for us to make headway. As such it is dependent upon them to accept the proposals and end this dispute now none of us are here for a war we need a common ground deal for all it will not help or be good for all but it will be a deal. But if they don't come up with the deal in time or have no intention war it is then!
