Re: UPDATE .. Facebook + Twitter
Agree, there is no appetite for a strike considering the money lost already and for nothing
It all seems pre-planned to me in dragging this out until April 1st

Didn't they say they are having independant reviews done? if the reps have done something wrong get them gone. They are not above the rules

Re: UPDATE .. Facebook + Twitter
1) every D/O has had staff leave, and the new duties are unworkable.
2) the uso fails on a daily basis, unless these duties are reversed then a future of complete failure.
3) If they want the company to go bust, just bloody do it, announce any redundancy packages and get on with it.
4) a restart with the company split up, parcels v letters, conditions Amazon like, who the f**k wants that shite. You will be massively understaffed and will fail.
5) sick to death of all the messing around, don't think the management will budge an inch now.
6) you strike to reach an agreement usually, the fact this hasn't worked tells you something about the campaign.

Like I have said all along the CWU are the problem! And they have been unreasonable in negotiations and gave treated their members like children; in fact, with contempt!
Where is the details?
Why announce strikes when the talks are still going? You do that when they have broken down but not as a threat or spite - it did not work from r Christmas, why would it work now.
I think my hunch is good to think Martin Walsh is not at one with people like Dave Ward.
Are these guys trying to take down Royal Mail and our jobs and terms with it? Zero-sum game!

RM are using the reps as an excuse to drag the talks out. How difficult can it be, they either acted out of line or they didn't lol

Re: UPDATE .. Facebook + Twitter
I have been curious for a while as to why all Royal Mail jobs that I've seen advertised had an end date close to the end of March.
Been wondering if something big is going to happen around this time.

Also they havent called any strikes yet - if talks havent concluded with an agreement by next week then they have said they will - and so they wont be called whilst talks are still going, clearly the talks will have broken down without agreement by that point if strikes are called.
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

Why not just tell us what RM are proposing instead of using scare tactics?Acca Dacca wrote: ↑24 Mar 2023, 20:20If you dont know the details then how can you say they have been unreasonable in negotations?chrisj wrote: ↑24 Mar 2023, 20:15Like I have said all along the CWU are the problem! Plus why is Martin Walsh suggesting there's a real danger of Administration but dopey Dave suggesting he's calling more strikes, surely if what MW says is correct the last thing anybody needs is more IA?

Pretty certain the reps wasn't part of the recent IA ballot. If they've been calling fellow workers "scans" and misusing social media etc then they really only have themselves to blame.needadvice wrote: ↑24 Mar 2023, 20:15RM are using the reps as an excuse to drag the talks out. Which the union have previously acknowledged, I doubt very much a few suspended rogue reps is the issue.TopperGas wrote: ↑24 Mar 2023, 20:27Pretty certain the reps wasn't part of the recent IA ballot. Agree. If no agreement by now the CWU needs to call the strike dates now not piss about yet moreredlen wrote: ↑24 Mar 2023, 20:03Why pussyfoot over the weekend, sounds of desperation to me and yet more kicking the can down the road. More Rabbit than Sainsburys.
The CWU should have given two weeks notice for strike action today.
Does not mean it will happen
That would have concentrated the minds of Royal Mail
Seems there is more to this dispute than we are being told
