They're not on that. They were on exactly the same as us after our supplement is added, which I think is 13 something but it's now been cut to 11.50.Kenfandango wrote: ↑22 Mar 2023, 18:35Our DO still has agency regularly, weirdly they've dropped the angard (which RM own) and kept the ones who boast they're on "£15.50 an hour" as their reason for coming off a walk and sitting on the frames for an hour or two

Re: Replacing staff with agency workers
Bang on, after 12 weeks they are entitled to the delivery supplement, Night Allowance et al.
The same as contracted staff.
Up to 12 weeks they do not even get paid breaks

And might I ask why you did not help a work colleague?
He is only trying to earn a day's pay to support his family

Dishonesty is rife amongst Royal Mail management.
A significant factor of the business for at least the last decade or so.

Re: Replacing staff with agency workers
Our agency workers come in and stand around for the first hour doing nothing. Not asked to help sort. Are they getting paid for doing nothing?

Re: Replacing staff with agency workers
I'd hazard a guess they're paid from whatever time they're told to arrive, presumably the manager is supposed to allocate them something useful to do or amend their starting time until there is, usual piss poor performance from management I'd suspect.

I know bosses should never be going home early and leaving people to work it out for themselves, its not just pathetic its a disgrace.post6675 wrote: ↑23 Mar 2023, 09:16This is quite pathetic tbh mateguardianangel wrote: ↑22 Mar 2023, 20:31Had an agency driver ask me the other day how to scan packets for delivery and scan his route,i said see a manager he said they have all gone home i told him i had no idea so he went out and delivered all the parcels and never scanned any![]()

Two of ours claim the £15.50 figure, the other 3 I spoke to all complained of the money going down.Seymour Buts wrote: ↑22 Mar 2023, 20:10They're not on that. Re: Replacing staff with agency workers
New starts from last December don't get delivery supplement, paid breaks and get £11:59 paid monthly. What a shower of s**t.

Re: Replacing staff with agency workers
The rates depend if they are on early, late or nights.
They are on the same pay as regular staff as long as the agency has employed them for more than 12 weeks working for Royal Mail with no break in service of six weeks.
Until they hit 12 weeks, they are on low pay and do not even get paid for breaks

Don't let this dispute turn you into a nasty person. It was simply a person asking for help. People will soon moan when agency go in and break the strikes if it comes to that but completely forget how they treat and view themguardianangel wrote: ↑23 Mar 2023, 12:54I know bosses should never be going home early and leaving people to work it out for themselves, its not just pathetic its a disgrace.post6675 wrote: ↑23 Mar 2023, 09:16This is quite pathetic tbh mateguardianangel wrote: ↑22 Mar 2023, 20:31Had an agency driver ask me the other day how to scan packets for delivery and scan his route,i said see a manager he said they have all gone home i told him i had no idea so he went out and delivered all the parcels and never scanned any![]()

Re: Replacing staff with agency workers
It’s not his job to help them. They should be trained properly before they start. 80% of the agency at our place are useless. Don’t scan the packets, no idea if they have been “notice left” or not. Don’t fill out P739’s properly, if at all.post6675 wrote: ↑23 Mar 2023, 19:18guardianangel wrote: ↑23 Mar 2023, 12:54I know bosses should never be going home early and leaving people to work it out for themselves, its not just pathetic its a disgrace.post6675 wrote: ↑23 Mar 2023, 09:16This is quite pathetic tbh mateguardianangel wrote: ↑22 Mar 2023, 20:31Had an agency driver ask me the other day how to scan packets for delivery and scan his route,i said see a manager he said they have all gone home i told him i had no idea so he went out and delivered all the parcels and never scanned any![]()

Always back late meaning the callers staff have to go over their time to wait for them. Managers don’t give a s**t.
Was told today that they have lost their motivation as they are being told from above to make sure it fails.
I think RedLen has an agency girl/boy friend.
