It will be Monday to Friday. You have to factor in other stuff we have to like emptying boxes and doing customer collections.

Doing away with a Saturday would mean the boxes wouldn’t need to be emptied either.

CALL THE STRIKES NOW !!!!!!!! how much more s**t do we have to put up with before our so called union who are supposed to be there to protect us from all this bullying and harassment actually going to start to act ,absolute disgraceful.
What have the previous 18 days of strikes achieved an what will any more achieve.except we will all be on benefits soon. just to add if more strikes are called ile be out but think a helluva lot more will be in work.
Going back in is the exact reason Royal Mail carry on with their behaviour because they think they can and get away with it,its time the cwu hired more employment solicitors and stopped these vermin once and for all,i urge everyone to record every conversation when pulled in the office.Strikes do achieve results its just that we have strategically got it wrong with trying to please both camps,if people were willing to take a big hit early on this would of been over.

See if the manager will cover your day off and see for himself what goes on. Make sure your partner fetches plenty lapsing.

how can they review, PDAs are not used to measure performance they said
Apparently the problem is the indoor work ??
Everyone should be out the door for 09.20, we don’t start till 08.00 tomorrow and our 20 minute break is at 09.00. So that gives you 1 hour to sort mail / packets, then sort mail, prep delivery duty, scan tracked in, sort out lapse, basically impossible.
You are not legally obliged to take a 20 min break 1 hour into you shift.

Actually, a 20 minute break entitlement for a Royal Mail full-time worker is a contractual obligation in which the employer can say when you take that break

yes but law states it must be somewhere in the middle, not at the start or end, though that's a grey area given no actual times are stated,
if they tell you to take it half way through then travel time back to the office isn't part of the break, they must allow you wash and sit somewhere comfortable, not sat in a scruffy van

Sort of correct

Royal Mail offers a 20 minute statutory obligation which must be taken near the middle of your duty.

Royal Mail also gives a 20 minute contractual break in excess of statutory provision.
It is this break when the employer can state when you take that contractual obligation.

If working six hours or less, such as a part-time worker, there is no statutory provision so the employer can say when you take that contractual break

And there are seperate regulations if designated mobile workers where you can take your break

Individual performance.
Our manager has started whispering this , he isn't taking people in to the office yet, he is chatting into people's ears whilst they are alone.

People really need to be careful what they say than can influence others in following that subjective personal opinion.

Covert recording undermines trust and confidence and can breach data protection laws and confidentiality. It may result in disciplinary action up to and including dismissal.

Play the game!

Ask to see a copy of the outdoor performance standards and you will strive to achieve them (they don't exist btw). But ensure that the manager in question is left in no doubt that failure to supply you with the relevant documentation will ensure that a bullying and harassment case is taken out against them!

Asking to see a copy of the outdoor performance standards would seem a bit strange in the circumstances.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
