Good God its 'reality tv' not actual real life, it's all staged!!RTP wrote: ↑19 Mar 2023, 16:03Just watching Under Cover Boss Australia.
The CEO of Great Southern Rail goes undercover, serving customers, cleaning toilets etc.
What a bloke this fella is. Realises just how hard his team works and what good people they are.
He then calls a board meeting and informs them that he thinks it would be a good idea to send them all out working for a day or so with the team who serve the customers on a daily basis to see with their own eyes what it's like and how hard they work.
He then also rewards people he has worked with undercover and takes some of their ideas onboard in order to make the workplace better and safer.
One guy from Vietnam hasn't seen his mother for 5yrs, so the CEO offers to pay for his family to go back to Vietnam to visit his mother.
Wow.

Lol, I'm not expecting free holidays, so get that bit.
Do you not think though that the concept of the the top brass spending a week or so on the frontline would open their eyes and be a good thing. I don't mean them just doing one random round sitting as a passenger and walking around watching a postperson drive and deliver, but actually helping do a whole shift on say a town round.. Then a whole shift on a deep rural round, followed by a shift in a mail centre, a shift in a lorry and even a shift with a cleaner.
In fact I would go as far to say that the top Union brass should be included in this , because for most of them it will have been years since they worked on the coalface and things change. Some might never have worked on the coalface.
The more companies that do something similar the more understanding those who make the most important decisions of all will have when they have to make changes for the better or worse.

You really think Simon cares how you work on the frontline? Besides that there's not enough room in your van for you him and his bodyguards.RTP wrote: ↑19 Mar 2023, 20:26Lol, I'm not expecting free holidays, so get that bit.
