HUNDREDS of people have backed calls for the Royal Mail to withdraw proposals to axe the Llanrwst sorting office.
Over the past two weeks, county councillors Ian Jenkins and Sian Lloyd-Jones have embarked on a leafleting campaign to raise awareness of the closure plans.
They contain a form expressing opposition which has been signed by hundreds of local people and sent to the Llanrwst postmaster John Parry, the councillors say.
