THANKS TO THE FAT CONTROLLER
Dear Mr Haynes and all those at the top of the gravy train tree let me thank you all very sincerely on behalf of the whole work force at the bottom of the tree for your continued excellence and hard working and never ending effort on lowering the living standard of the royal mail employees.
It has become apparent that the CWU have become the arch defender of ‘ever decreasing wages’ and Gordon Browns sycophant. The 1% pay rise for this year is a joke, a sick joke cocidering that the inflation rate could well hit the 4% at the end of the year, the thieving energy companies have raised their prices by at least 15%, the gangsters at the water companies are to raise their prices by at least the 8%, the government thugs and their cohorts in local government will raise council tax more than inflation, not to mention the rise in petrol, transport and food rises.
Mr Haynes and friends you will not feel the poverty forced on to us by you and your friends negotiations at last years pantomime. You were outclassed by royal mails team; you are keen to parade both Leighton and Crossier as Laurel and Hardy but you are the Abbott and Costello, an inferior product. While you get fat on your jam we are getting ever leaner on our dry bread and it won’t be long before we will have to pay to go to work, owing our full weeks wage to various government agencies and privatised companies, choosing between poor quality food and candles worth of heating.
Hopefully the majority of the CWU membership will realise as I have done many years ago that the gravy train abusers like you are NOT THE SOLUTION BUT ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM. The strike was not about us, a decent living wage, better working conditions and a strong CWU but it was about you and your continued gravy train platter. Sooner we get a general secretary on no more than a skilled mans wage the sooner we get a general secretary more in tune with its workers, and maybe the ever decreasing wages will be a thing of the past.
