Don't get why everyone's moaning I'm actually doing less walking after having another 25 minutes on each delivery as it's impossible to finish so just rotating what we do and only going to most houses 3 times a week

One of the sections in our DO has already had it's revisions. As they're understaffed anyway they took the absorption routes and stuck them on the end of other frames, and now we are already absorbing on top of the revisions. Some routes are absolute bedlam, with bundles of mail dumped around the frame from where people can't finish the "absorption" on top of the newly extended duties. I had to prep one this morning, had to stop as I couldn't fit mail in the slots. Got back from my duty and it had all been brought back, tracked and all. What a colossal waste of time
Based on my office, I assume there are a lot of people who come in early, don't take their breaks....

I really hope people start to.

Imagine the bedlam then.

When you bring back mail enjoy the look on your manager's face when they try to act surprised/angry/disappointed. Embrace it. Maybe even laugh at it and walk out the office smiling.

It's funny how they like to claim you haven't done enough when you look at their obese bodies which slump down at a desk all day drinking coffee and eating takeaway. I know they would deliver less than me. Far less.

Sad thing is, our managers know. They have basically told us "this won't work but we keep getting told we need more hours so we have to make it look like we are trying."
Heard one of them trying to explain to a higher up that there's 300+ posties and the "hours" lost per week are largely accumulations of 1-10 minutes a time and not a consecutive block

That’s the point I was making, these revisions are great.

Our revision (and most of the others) is built upon failing the USO on a daily basis. The rounds are too big and we can't deliver all of the mail every day.
We fail the USO deliberately.
The service is not only terrible, it's against the law.
Only problem is, nobody does anything about it.

Just get your head around the fact that you are only paid from your start time and have a break and finish time. Most at our office now take there break and simply cut off every day, so unless you want to work for free, come in at the time you are paid do the job properly and START ON TIME, the penny will eventually drop with customers complaining that they aren’t received mail that they will have to change revision.it’s simply not sustainable they are relying on good will which thankfully is now going. All mangers want is there bonuses they don’t care about us so f@@@ them

I know it’s bizarre, any other business would have been shut down by now, how they get away with it is an absolute mystery

I feel this is what they want. Less staff to pay, failing the USO because of less staff and tracked packets cleared daily.

Do we get a pay rise after the revision comes in or what?
