Revisions, how are they going?
One of the sections in our DO has already had it's revisions. As they're understaffed anyway they took the absorption routes and stuck them on the end of other frames, and now we are already absorbing on top of the revisions. Some routes are absolute bedlam, with bundles of mail dumped around the frame from where people can't finish the "absorption" on top of the newly extended duties. I had to prep one this morning, had to stop as I couldn't fit mail in the slots. Got back from my duty and it had all been brought back, tracked and all. What a colossal waste of time

Re: Revisions, how are they going?
Im still shocked Royal Mail and Ofcom are letting this happen, failure on this level should be heavily fined by OFCOM,are they on the take ,all in it together,Darren Jones MP has been told and the cwu sit back and let it happen. This country is worse than Russia.Kenfandango wrote: ↑13 Mar 2023, 20:21One of the sections in our DO has already had it's revisions. WHAT A JOKE . "HOW ARE THEY GOING". THEY SHOULDN'T EVEN BE HAPPENING. THIS UNION IS POINTLESS. THEY SAY ALL REVISIONS MUST STOP BUT YET THEY ARE GOING AHEAD ALL ROUND THE COUNTRY. EITHER THE UNION IS TAKING THE MICK OR ROYAL MAIL IS.

what would happen if we refused to go a long with the revisions and refused to do them as rm and cwu said they should stop . They couldn't sack us because it shouldn't be happening.

Re: Revisions, how are they going?
The one I was on went from 486 to 598, in 6 massive loops (that just say they're loops, some of it's miles away.) All large semi detached, drives about 20ft long each and a good distance between each house. As it's next to the absorption route I got the specials and collections instead of mail

Re: Revisions, how are they going?
Sounds alright that to be honest. Ours are about 600 now and the revision is yet to go through. Every paired walk will end up with around 200 houses added per walk, so 400 per pair. Some more than that.Kenfandango wrote: ↑13 Mar 2023, 20:49The one I was on went from 486 to 598, in 6 massive loops (that just say they're loops, some of it's miles away.) Re: Revisions, how are they going?
It's the plan in motion. They want us to fail. Not sure if this is nation wide but in our office they increased duty sizes enormously and then slapped a ban on over time. As a result mountain's of packets and mail everywhere. This has been compounded by snow backlogs in the days after. You can't win an industrial dispute when the people at the top want a complete failure of our side of the business. Any business man with a serious interest in longevity over a quick buck would never have allowed us to strike at Christmas. They want us to work harder but how can you with an overtime ban. If we do well we get nothing. If we fail we still get nothing. Failure is the ultimate goal. If we bend over backwards then that's an added bonus for them but we will never see a benefit.

Re: Revisions, how are they going?
It’s like covid times again at our office after this latest revision with work staked everywhere but without all the staff being off isolating. Rotate the failure we are told. There’s actually less pressure when members are told that and less work is getting done now post revision. Strange times.

I'm on a shared van duty that originally had 1600 drops on it......nearly a thousand on one duty, just over 600 on the other. They've added 500 terraced houses onto it.

Re: Revisions, how are they going?
I don't get this revision lark at all. We lost wages because RM enforcement of revisions by executive action
But I know a few offices where the union rep is in charge of the revision. I'm hoping for a pay rise and let them do as they wish. I don't run so they can make rounds as big as they want.

Re: Revisions, how are they going?
It would be okay if it weren't 25 minutes both ways from the depot, plus an extra 15 each way for the new bit... It really pushes the time upSeymour Buts wrote: ↑13 Mar 2023, 20:53Sounds alright that to be honest. Ours are about 600 now and the revision is yet to go through.
