WAKE UP CWU!. SEND IT TO OUR HOME'S FOR GOD'S SAKE!.
In the case of this particular ballot the Managers might be quite willing to give the reps time to do a ballot and distribute information as their Union  is recommending a NO vote as well. Perhaps this is one time that the Posties and Managers among us will all be singing from the same hymn sheet.
No one on this forum should need reminding how "supportive" Unite members were during the strike and how they have been given a sweetener of their bonus payments being added to their pensions pot which over a number of years adds quite a nice sum. I may be wrong but I think Unite has only 12,000 members from RM so I wouldn't set much store by any support from them.

The workplace ballot is a sop let's not be fooled by the drum banging it's a sell out.

Don't get in such a state. There's nothing to defend, we will get less pension, longer working life with decreasing benefits - that's it. There is no defence and no national cohesive ballot to alter these facts. The next thing you know it will be longer working days - oh hang on thats here as well!

Parlez vous Francais?

We aren't going to annoy them, they have already won, they won last November, to RM this is old news. Had we not de-coupled the pension from the pay we would have had a fighting chance of at least watering down the proposals.

Yep we've lost, our pensions are knackered. The only people to blame are Ward and Hayes for accepting a scandalous deal. Although they probably got a sweetener from the labour party. And the mugs for accepting it.

Perhaps those diehards on here who support the flaccid leadership would like to point out how exactly the same leadership that was so impotent in defending our pay and conditions are going defend our pension rights.

dvbuk55 is right. This will go through and theres no way you will change that. This battle was finished in November. Any fightback now is the equivalent of sticking your tongue out.

jafferpants wrote:so the consultation was a farce. hands up all thoses that predicted that before it even started. :wave Does anybody believe we will get a yes vote to strike ?. If ward is so concerned about it he should have thought long and hard about recommending a yes vote after the last debarcle when we had e'm by the bollocks. Sorry my friends but it's all over, the final paperwork has all been finished and will be going out any time now, with or without your acceptance. The scheme was scheduled to close in april way back last july. All they have done in the interim is pay lip service to the law. still at least the mp's pension is okay no shortfall there cos us mugs are paying for it.
absolutely spot on. once again our own union sold us down the river. they talked the talk but did`nt deliver. begining to wonder whos side they are on they take the £2.80 a week and all we get is more cuts in delivery offices longer bloody walks and an end to our pension. we would be better off giving the money to professional lawyers on a no win no fee basis then this lot of sell outs
