All revisions will go through ,
The CWU have made a big mistake in trying to tell a private company how to run there Business ,
They should have just stuck with the pay rise bit .
The best we can hope for now is a 7% pay rise backdated ,
Let royal mail make there own mistakes re revisions and slave labour owner drivers that are dragging the company down to poor quality of service like EVRI AND YODEL .
Just turn up for work on time (not early) do your hours take your breaks and go home on time ,
if the revisions are not working that is a managers problem .

Absolutely shocking, we are about to start the new financial year and we are still waiting for last year’s settlement. Union are yet again wasting the new strike mandate, they should have called for immediate strike action on the result of the ballot, thus turning the screws on this piss poor employer.

Re: No strings above inflation pay deal and the no change without agreement agenda
They now feel sorry for Royal Mail.....
Serious financial hardship! So happy to lie for Royal Mail after previously uncovering the truth of giving all the profits away in dividends, then that triggered huge bonuses and the stopping of the GLS cross subsidy!
Plus huge amounts wasted on agency staff doing a fraction of the work we are expected to do and the bottomless management fund including bonuses for COM's attending work etc.
It's beyond a joke and we are going to be shafted like never before and if you factor in the money lost I would love to know after the deal of the century how long before we break even?

They aren’t lying for anyone. Giving away millions in the past, doesn’t change the fact that that money is now gone. The reality is, the company is in the s**t because of the lack of mail and increasing costs. If you think we are as busy now as we were back in 2020 which lead to those dividend payouts, then we will just have to agree to disagree.

Making yourself skint through choice is surely a tactic to say sorry no money for the people who actually made that 760 odd million by working through the pandemic is it not?
Yes Mail has dropped off but they've also openly admitted that that's the plan!

That is dead in the water now. They've got their strings pushed through already with these revisions, clock in and out, redundancies (whether it's compulsory or voluntary) and some units are possibly going to have to change start and finish times. It would be a sham if union dressed it up as a no strings deal if they do come to an agreement the end of the week. Both sides have lost, some just don't know it yet. Lost the good will of workforce that's for sure. The fact that you are even asking this question you are more than likely realising that subconsciously.

Completely in agreement with this statement. Whether it's due to the stupidity of the board throwing money away it had no business spending elsewhere or not, it doesn't change the fact the company is in a bad way. Hence why union has suddenly turned around and said as such. We are doing more work outdoor yes through absorption and lapsing, but even I can admit that my actual round is the quietest it's been. We'd basically be striking and losing money in the long run or possibly be outta a job the way it's going. It's absolutely frustrating it's gotten to this point but it's just how it is. It would piss me off but wouldn't be surprised if the pay deal is lower than the one that's been put on offer.LouBarlow wrote: ↑06 Mar 2023, 16:58They aren’t lying for anyone. Re: No strings above inflation pay deal and the no change without agreement agenda
but how much money have they spunked away since they announced the state of he company? and still doing so!
they brought it on themselves, now if any crappy deal is eventually struck, i'd hope all senior management resign'sacked with no pay off, but we know they will walk away eventually taking a lot of money away that isn't available to us
i really hate this scum of a board we have

Re: No strings above inflation pay deal and the no change without agreement agenda
The CWU will get us the best deal that they can, but
When you are dealing with management who deliberately give away hundreds of millions of pounds to shareholders in special, EXTRA dividends, and
Initiate the unnecessary buy back of shares so that they can use up another couple of hundred million pounds,
rather than have this money available to cushion employees while a major restructuring, resizing exercise is happening, and while we are all experiencing a cost of living crisis,
Then you can see from this and from their actions throughout the dispute that the 'team' leaders are not honourable individuals and even if the money was available we would not get it because they have nothing but contempt for the rest of us.
So,
No strings above inflation pay rise? NO
No change without agreement? NO
