Get rid of rep :thumbup :left:
You make me laugh. So now it's not the Union's Fault it's the Rep's?

We've got our EA Revision up, and running. We've been told you need to give it a go ... and then prove that it can't be done ... a nearby Unit had an EA Revision with one of the Duties going 3 hour over  So they've "Proved" it doesn't work it's not just bitching & moaning. Unfortunately just saying, "Well that's never going to be achievable" doesn't work :thumbdown

We've also asked "What happens to us.. we've had the bloody Revision"? and we've apparently not got a lot of come back unless the USO is failing daily :arrrghhh In which case we have to inform Area ASAP. In the meantime we should ensure everyone's "Working Properly" and then cut off to finish at our contracted time .... Bringing back everything (including Tracked). :cuppa

How do they determine if the u s o is working or not ? Surely if walks are failing that means the u s o isn’t working. How many walks that are failing would then trigger the need for reversing the done revision ? Then you need a strong local rep to put in a disagreement to challenge what’s been done

The reason your comments make me laugh is because they're very predictable, normally antagonistic and totally unconstuctive.

Your title says you work in processing. Have you ever worked in a Delivery Office? :cuppa

As explained to me: If the same Duties are regularly not being completed/delivered then they are failing the USO. :thumbdown This may indicate the Unit is understaffed. IF You are short of staff they will need to be recruited. IF your staffing levels are OK then perhaps some work needs moving from those failing duties to those that may still be finishing early. If no duties are in fact finishing early then maybe you need another durty put in (with that extra Postie). I'm sure Managers will fight that option tooth & nail. :cuppa

Staff being recruited if an office/shift is understaffed? Dream on, we've had probably at least half a dozen casuals on each shift for months, and they've not recruited any new staff, AFAIK they've not offered any of the current regular casuals temporary contracts. We're loosing hours in the realignment so once it eventually picks up again, we'll have even more casuals in

I can’t find the new price list for business mail, but looking at the new prices, personal mail is going up but parcel prices seem to be remaining the same, even going down in certain scenarios. I’ll have to take your word on that. Either way, I can’t see the price increase massively reducing personal mail traffic or even business mail, as there is no competition.

So our revision went live today…

😂😂😂

Absolute car crash - the DPR’s failed massively with 50+ undelivered, plus several walks failing.

In the planners wisdom, amongst other bizarre decisions, they split up the local Science Park and other firms walk, which was being serviced by a solo postie route and added them across two residential walks - that are about a mile away from each other and is down a stretch of road that will have roadworks in place along the entire stretch for 2 years!

Add to this the fact that the oversized will be delivered by someone else - that’s now five employees serving that area rather than one!

It’s a complete farce - I’d be amazed if it lasted the week - but then again, this is RM so…

I'd give it 6 months tops before the oversize go back to the walks

The things is DPR are nothing new. They were in the Original blueprints for the last failed revisions.
So ours in came 14 months ago they lasted 3 weeks.
Not enough staff to actually do the DPR's so were lapsed on a Monday,Tues and Sat in 'lighter months'
If not you could claim 1 and a half hours OT to do them with your duty.
Sometimes if it was in heavy periods a Saturday could be job and knock if you took them.

We have had them for over 18 months now.
There is no suggestion that they are going back to the walks.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
