How many stamped letters do you deliver in a day? Check your frame this morning. It is a tiny percentage of your overall delivery. People will either need to send a letter, and will suck up the extra 15p or they won’t. It isn’t going to make any difference to your workload.koolishy67 wrote: ↑03 Mar 2023, 17:24Don't worry from April we are going to get less and less mail because of stamp price rise

Every time they increase the price of a stamp the whole product range goes up by roughly the same amount be that meter mail or ppi or letter or packets or parcel!LouBarlow wrote: ↑04 Mar 2023, 05:21How many stamped letters do you deliver in a day? Any revisions will be subject to change if they cannot not meet the uso demands. If I was a rep on the ground I would say to CWU HQ were balloting in our office to now go out tomorrow.

Our office hasn't had any changes yet, but management are planning these changes.....
Union rep and management saying these changes will still happen!!!! WTF!!!!
These changes will mean further failures of the USO so how can a rep go along with these changes!!! NO IDEA!, but ours is!

Lots of reps postmen are offered a job in management I myself was courted for a job but refused it. Each and every office is different but if you feel your rep is too cosy or corrupt there is a process to get rid of them!norris9 wrote: ↑04 Mar 2023, 20:06Our office hasn't had any changes yet, but management are planning these changes.....

We were told that the revisions were to save jobs. Well if you take more postal duties out of an office guess whose jobs are going?
Its the same as getting rid of mail deliveries on a Saturday, its to get rid of more postal jobs and force more work onto existing staff
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

I can’t find the new price list for business mail, but looking at the new prices, personal mail is going up but parcel prices seem to be remaining the same, even going down in certain scenarios. I’ll have to take your word on that. Either way, I can’t see the price increase massively reducing personal mail traffic or even business mail, as there is no competition.k979aaa wrote: ↑04 Mar 2023, 11:35Every time they increase the price of a stamp the whole product range goes up by roughly the same amount be that meter mail or ppi or letter or packets or parcel!LouBarlow wrote: ↑04 Mar 2023, 05:21How many stamped letters do you deliver in a day? Mr Ward and his overpaid buddy’s have all got what they wanted now. To go down in the union history books with the biggest vote ever. We don’t matter to them lot. They’ve more than likely guaranteed themselves a huge pay rise. There has to be changes. I am bored out of my head most days with the lack of work, the ‘dragging it out’. I’d rather be busy and do a decent days work. I have always supported unions and how they protect the workers. But this has all just been a ridiculous farce. I believe between the CWU and Royal Mail they are going to destroy the company as we know it. Taah Daaaahhh
